I cannot say enough nice things about this lovely historic hotel and its delightful staff. The only critical thing that I could possibly observe is that, in some of the buildings on property, the paint or carpet could use a refresh. However! That is a miniscule concern for the elegance of the main building in which to enjoy the breakfast and happy hour. Also, staff didn't mind us hanging out there during other times.

We loved the pool and hot tub. They weren't overly chlorinated. As an extra thoughtful touch, the hotel will also loan you beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys for children. It's located in a perfect shopping and dining district. I would stay here again and again. The employees are very kind and friendly.

I’d like to start by saying the staff is the best thing about this place. Everyone was very courteous, accommodating and super nice. They really made our stay better.
Now, the hotel on the outside is very charming (I mean look at the advertising pictures!), however, the rooms are VERY dated. The carpet is so old it emits this musty foul smell that welcomes you every time you walk into the room. It doesn’t help to air the room, the smell is there! The same thing could be said about the bathroom & amenities. Breakfast was so so, although it was “hot breakfast” with eggs & meat but the food tasted bland & not hot, more like mildly warm. Agin, the best thing about our stay was the staff. Alex graciously moved us to a 2nd floor room the next day we arrived when it became available. It was a bit more airy but still had the musty smell. For the price we probably won’t go back unless we know major renovations have happened & the smell is definitely gone!
Oh and be ware of 2nd floor rooms, the AC unit is so loud it’d keep you up all night!

We love this hotel and stay there often. The rooms are in need of updating, but the beds are good and the hotel itself is so charming, we don't mind the dated interiors. The location is perfect; directly across the street from the world-famous Hotel del Coronado, with easy beach access. Walking distance to everything you need. The history of the main building (the mansion) is lovely, and takes you back to a simpler time. We're always sad when it's time to leave!

Lovely location, staff. Only complaint is that the bathrooms/rooms are the tiniest I’ve stayed in and the rooms need to be updated. Get rid of carpet and put in luxury vinyl flooring at least.

What a beautiful place to spend time in Coronado Island. It’s in a great section of town with easy walking access to all the activities, meals, the ocean, the marina. The inn is absolutely beautiful, the original 1906 structure remains with its beautiful rooms, ambience, marble staircase. It takes you back to how the world was 100 years ago.
The breakfast is delicious, a beautiful patio and eating area. The pool is right outside and the ocean is just two blocks away. What more could you ask for?!
