Pools are beautiful although they need better control of chair hogs. Crazy to have to get up at 5 a.m. every morning and find all the great chair locations taken with towels on them and no people occupying them for hours.

Our first time visiting Cabo but won't be our last! Airport to hotel was a bit of a challenge but once we arrived at the hotel the accommodations, food, staff.......everything was amazing! Only (very minor) negative was one of the faucets in our room didn't work and the beach was not swimmable. We did do a fishing excursion that was incredible (caught stripped marlin and Mahi Mahi) and great snorkeling excursion. Tons of whales in January and excellent weather. We will be bringing all our kids and grand kids back!

First time in Cabo and the specific resort. The location was magical and the resort was very well-maintained. Staff was professional and cordial. Food was absolutely delicious. However a few negative things to note that could've made the trip more noteworthy and memorable -
Had issues with the thermostat in our room. Didn't seem like we were able to control the temperature ourselves. We called maintenance and they came in and did something with the setting but to no avail.
The faucets in the bathroom seemed a bit off with water spraying all over instead of a steady stream.
Most importantly, the minibar in our room was not stocked when we checked in. I brought it up at the front desk and the girl mentioned that it would be restocked the next morning during room service. Well, that didn't happen and I mentioned it again and was assured that it would be restocked later that day. Sad to say, that didn't happen either. It was finally restocked on the evening of the 3rd day of our stay - a day before we were to leave. At that point, my girlfriend and I didn't bother to take advantage of the minibar after all.
We were given a voucher for 30% off to be used at their spa. The voucher clearly mentioned that it was for any kind of treatment at the spa. However, when we tried to redeem it, we were told by the spa staff that it has to be used for massages only. When I pointed out that the voucher stated that it was for any service, the girl responded that it was a mistake and some kind of a mix-up. My girlfriend and I already had scheduled for a couples massage so we didn't want to add another massage on top of it. Nor could we combine the 30% promotion to our existing massage. So basically, that voucher just went to waste!!!
The nightly entertainment activities arranged by the resort could've been a tad better and more entertaining. It also could've carried on a little longer than its usual time.

2nd time staying here. The first time was great, and now they really upgraded the rooms. There is 1 downside is that there is now $35 cover charge for dinner Cortez restaurant and $10 for breakfast. This is a great spot for steaks, but I didn't visit this time due to the extra expense. To off set This they have added a sushi bar, a no charge coffee shop, and a 1 time no charge for room service. Due to recent remodel of the rooms, I noticed a offensive smell. I checked 2 other rooms with a similar smell. Housekeeping washed the floor with bleach, and that really helped. We choose to visit when a huge confidence was checking in. While initially it was a little overwhelming, but staff handled it well
That's not a negative about the property; it could happen at any resort.

The reason the room was rated low was for the following: our air conditioning was not working and the room was at 78F most of the time during hot July. The refrigerator was not turned on therefore the drinks were warm. There were tiny ants in the bathroom which we took care of ourselves. Everything else about the resort was absolutely wonderful! We met some excellent wait staff and everyone was so helpful. We plan to return!

The property itself is lovely, for the most parts the restaurants are good, but we weren't impressed with the Asian restaurant. Pitahayas was an awesome dining experience, and a must try if you want traditional Mexican cuisine. The service at all restaurants seemed to be quite slow, don't know why exactly. Unfortunately, the beach was closed during our stay due to the high waves, that was a bit of a bummer. Although we enjoyed our stay, we probably wouldn't go back again since the location is pretty isolated, and also the resort doesn't offer any activities such as kayaking or other water sports, that being said, it is the perfect place to spend a few days of total relaxation, spending days relaxing at the pool and enjoying good food.

I think the restaurants need to adjust the portion sizes, some of the appetizers seemed like they were the size of main courses. Also, since you just started as an all-inclusive, I understand the need to have guests sign a receipt at the end of each meal (to gather data) but I hope this is eventually dropped, when I'm at an all-inclusive I don't want to have to be signing a check after every meal. Also, I thought the service fee to eat at De Cortez Grill House was excessive, $10 per person for breakfast and $35 per person for dinner, this is an all-inclusive, we shouldn't have to pay extra to eat at a particular restaurant, maybe just charge an extra fee for ordering premium steaks or lobster, not for the "privilege" of eating at the restaurant.

The one thing that stands head and shoulders above the rest is the staff!! They were so kind and helpful the entire stay. We were a little concerned about the billing. We had booked an all-inclusive but we received, and had to sign, a detailed bill every time we ate or drank. But, when we checked out the only charge was the tips that we had added on. The only disappointment was not being able to get into the ocean. Most of our stay the entire beach was closed due to the high waves.

Hotel grounds and amenities were great. All the restaurants and food were also great. Rooms were were nice enough. We only had one time where thee were out of pool towels and we had to drop dry because we couldn’t get any service (it was dinner time so an off hour for the pool but still).
We did get charged $80 just to go to dinner at the steak house. We were unaware of this til we got the bill so was an unpleasant surprise on our “all inclusive” vacation. Turns out this rule was buried in the fine print of the travelzoo deal. So technically we should have known but then you really can’t. All it all inclusive. Kinda misleading. Overall a great time!

The resort was in a beautiful location and the booking process was very easy. The room had an excellent view, but was smaller than I hoped for. Though the room was all-inclusive, we needed to open and close a tab at every bar and restaurant each time we ate or had a drink, which is different (and mildly more inconvenient) than other all-inclusive resorts we stayed at. The timeshare folks were pushier than we expected, but they were easy to brush off.

This vacation was stellar in every way! The spacious & clean room and our private covered deck, the beautiful views, the sound of the crashing waves, and then there are the lovely restaurants with amazing foods and service. The lovely grounds are colorful and spotless. And then there is the outstanding staff who made us feel like we were the only guests on the property, truly VIP treatment. Every single employee is a caring person with great pride in their country. It was our pleasure to spend 8 days there, and we are going back soon!

We had a very enjoyable stay after some wrinkles the 1st day and evening. Room was spacious with nice amenities and gorgeous beach view. Restaurants were plentiful with excellent ambiance, menus and great food! Stsff was extremely kind and helpful. Hotel and spa were very attractive and enjoyable.
Small problems at arrival and check in. Some confusion due to too many people and different instructions. The worst part of check in is when reception turns you over to a time share salesperson!
Although the room ended up being geat, we had difficulty vetting the a/c going, the ceiling fan going, the patio door open and the lanline telephone operating. The maid service was spotty at best.
When I mentioned all these problems to some staff they agreed it was poor overall management. Later the evening manager sought me out to respond to my complaints. He did listen but belittled or ignored several items. He did however correctly defend a restaurants maitre di who I harshly complained to when our dinner reservations were not quickly acknowled.

When Travelzoo negotiated an all-inclusive excursion to Hacienda del Mar Autograph Collection resort in Cabo, I jumped on the deal. Going to all-inclusive resorts is not something we do, but this place is amazing. We booked an oceanfront room with a patio. My husband and I experienced five of the eleven restaurants on the property, and all were outstanding. Jessica, the concierge, knew we were here to celebrate a birthday and graciously sent a gorgeous chocolate cake and a bottle of sparkling wine to our room with a sweet note. The staff at this resort are very well trained in hospitality, very friendly and accommodating. Without the all-inclusive plan, food and drinks would be outrageously expensive. The grounds are gorgeous and clean. We saw numerous whales within 30 feet of the beach. There are numerous activities, but relaxing and swimming in the pools may be the best vacation action. If Travelzoo offers this special deal again, we’ll return next year.

The location is amazing for watching whales all day long from the pool decks and beach. (We were there in February.) The all inclusive package was well worth it. Every restaurant was fantastic. The staff was great and helpful.
My only complaint would be the quality of the room. The AC fan kept blowing so the thermostat was taken off the wall and never fixed. They were repairing an elevator and during the day taking a nap was impossible with the noise. There is no buffer of noise between rooms and because of the way it is built echoes terribly. No access to a water filter and ice in our building.
