$1399—All-inclusive Costa Rica Marriott stay for 2

I celebrated my 60th bday here and the staff here made it so wonderful. We loved this resort and we love Costa Rica. Will return again!

The service was amazing.

Pura Vida is alive and well in a magnificent setting. The service is unpresedented, the food is delectable and the atmosphere is delightful. This is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

The rooms are large and nice. The spa was fantastic but of course not included in the price. The people who work here are all very welcoming and helpful.

They required the reservation to be done by email but never actually completed the reservation. We showed up with no reservation although they did find us a room. There's nothing to do here. The restaurants are not good and not all are even open. Seriously, that was some of the worst food with thr exception of breakfast. Construction makes it noisy, and they did loud landscaping outside my room before 7 am.

This was our third time at this hotel. We love the location, the food and the staff. It is an amazing property with so much to offer.

Our first experience with a Marriott Resort did not disappoint. We felt the luxury and friendly service from the moment we arrived. The staff answered all our questions and followed up with us to make sure our stay was splendid. The architecture, landscaping, food, service, and amenities made for a resort experience at its best.

We were only able to have a long weekend get away and it was perfect. Just starting the down season so it wasn’t very busy and was quiet. I can see how it is very busy during peak season but glad we went after.

So glad we did the all inclusive package! Meals were very expensive and we got to eat whatever we wanted! This is a very peaceful hotel, not too busy in August. Wonderful time laying by the pool, using the mostly empty gym, looking at the immaculate landscaping, watching iguanas walk by, and listening to the waves on the beach. An excellent stay!

The travel from the airport is worth it!

Property was beautiful. Food was overpriced and marginally prepared.

Service varied greatly. Restaurant servers seemed rushed.

This was the best resort I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this resort. Of course, it would not have been so good if it wasn't all-inclusive. Definitely a very good value for what we paid. I will continue to book with Travelzoo. We're excited to see what's next.

We came earlier this year and loved it, so we took the opportunity to return when we saw this deal. It's so beautiful here and the staff are wonderful.

Very relaxing trip with extremely polite and helpful staff. The pool is terrific and the food was great. While the resort has a few areas that need to be renovated or upgraded, it is still very comfortable, clean and beautiful.

Wonderful time of rest at this beautiful property. Great food and service. We were spoiled.

They were kind enough to upgrade us to oceanfront due to Bonvoy status.

The experience overall was excellent, the food drink, ambiance, activities and property on point! Bit disappointed that we requested room of daughters near or on same floor with us over 1 month prior to trip and it didn’t happen as no one had added the note to our reservation even though I directly (won’t add names) asked reservations, concierge and a front desk person way before our arrival, we ended up on 2 different floors :( On a side note, the housekeeping was outstanding, I requested to meet that staff member as prepared a thank you note/tip to hand over to Majorie whom I had never met but went the extra mile every day with housekeeping, thanks!! Also way to go housekeeping, our room was ready at check in another plus on their column!! :) Travelzoo thanks for making this experience happen!

A truly wonderful place to visit and see

This Hotel was incredible. All of the staff from the front office to wait staff, cooks, and housekeeping were all very friendly and helpful. The views were amazing. We spotted some spider monkeys sitting in the trees only 100 feet outside the entrance to the hotel. The side trips that are available are also fantastic. We went on a catamaran tour and saw some leopard rays, dolphins, and sea turtles. We also took a tour to see the Rio Celeste waterfall, experience a coffee and cacao plantation, and saw some sloths.

The hotel was amazing. It was very quiet and clean. The restaurants are also great. Make sure to make reservations for Pimento, Tamarine, and/or Sabanero.

The.property is beautiful and charming and the staff friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the excellent view of the ocean, comfortable accommodations and wonderful meals. They were also careful regarding my food allergies.

There were additional food charges that posted after our stay even though we had the all inclusive and only went to those restaurants

We loved our stay here and plan a future return with more family members. Currently my Room Coordinator Mrs. Rice and her family are staying at your resort. I will continue to recommend this resort to family and friends but I will also tell them to avoid buying chocolate from the gift shop. I purchased two bars to give as gifts and when opened both bars were very old and faded looking. We were afraid to eat it. I sent a picture and email twice to the email for reservations and they did not reply to my question regarding the chocolate. I was very disappointed. That was the only negative experience I had.

Great time

The resort is perfect if you want an off-the-grid, no-worries, relaxing beach getaway. The sunsets are amazing, the beach is beautiful and the all-inclusive aspect of the Member Days offer was clutch. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with an abundance of fresh fruit, smoothies on order, an omelet station, fresh corn tortillas for breakfast tacos and yummy Costa Rican coffee. The lunch options were good -- we typically ordered from the pool bar. Definitely loved the fresh fruit, the chicken sandwich, fish tacos and BLT. The Green Monster was the best of the frozen drinks. We also made sure to stop by the gelato place daily for a frozen treat. My favorite was the oreo gelato. There were 5 options for dinner, we tried 3 of them. The Italian spot was solid Italian, we enjoyed the Asian fusion restaurant, with sushi and noodle dishes. The steakhouse was not included and was not our favorite. If room service is included in the offer, take advantage of it! If you are going there to try to do a lot of the typically Costa Rican activities like ziplining, river rafting, cloud forest, jungle safaris, waterfall hikes, sloth or monkey hikes -- this hotel is a little too far removed from a lot of that. Depends how much of your vacation you want to spend driving around Costa Rica. Maybe use this as the beach part of your vacation and stay somewhere closer to Arenal/La Fortuna/Montverde/Manuel Antonio if you want to do the jungle/hot springs/volcano stuff. A few tips ... 1. Don't miss the sunset. Plan your day around it. Because you're closer to the equator, it is earlier in the day than you think. 2. Post up at the pool early in the morning, enjoy it from 8 until about 11. Take a break from the heat of the sun and come back out around 3 or 4 pm for an afternoon swim and sunset cocktails. 3. Take the bike tour around the property. You can also use the bikes to go play golf or pickleball on property. 4. Make reservations at the restaurants when you get there. Take the 7 pm slot so you don't miss the sunsets. 5. The half-day zipline tour to Congo Trail was worth it. Enjoy! It was a great vacation!

Everything was wonderful except the service at the restaurants was extremely slow. Seemed that the hotel was understaffed.

With the all inclusive travelzoo deal, staying at this hotel was a value. Otherwise, meals for my family of 7 (5 adults and 2 children) would have been astronomical ($560 for lunch and drinks at Azul). But, our stay there was lovely. Beautiful setting, good service, good food. It was magical!

This is a wonderful hidden gem. The staff have genuine smiles on their faces and are so friendly! The pools are beautiful and located so close to the beach. When you go out of the resort and head left on the beach, you can walk down to a cute little surfing school. There is lots of beautiful shells to find. Azul restaurant has a beautiful view of the ocean and delicious seafood, especially the Seabass fillet and the seafood pasta. The breakfast is amazing with the greatest smoothie maker on earth as well as a wonderful omelette lady. Ask for the iced latte when you’re there.The little ice cream shop is heavenly and the drinks are very tasty. We dined at three out of four of the restaurants and were very pleased as well. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view of both the pool and the beach. The lady that cleaned our room was adorable, organizing our belongings and taking great creativity in her design! Love this resort.. it’s beautiful and the staff is increíble!

Beautiful impression coming into the resort and wonderful staff. The rooms were a little worn being it's all wood and the humid temperature but the grounds and staff were excellent. They were attentive and so accommodating. We truly enjoyed our time there and hope to return someday.

Restaurants did not meet standard of a JW and pricing was extremely overpriced.

Lovely stay, all staff we encountered were so helpful and friendly. Loved the beach views from our room and the infinity pool.

The resort was wonderful, but the service was lacking and restaurant prices were very high. The food was very good though.

The resort is beautiful and the pool amazing. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is a bit isolated so you are pretty much forced to have your meals there unless you are up for a long drive. The food was good but ridiculously expensive even for a resort. And 5 days into our stay they debuted new menus with prices 20 to 50 percent higher than the day before. this was an unwelcome event and left us a little unhappy.

I would recommend an all inclusive plan if offered. By the way, the included breakfast was fantastic.

It has a lot of waves - large ones if you like to play in the ocean.

Food and drink were outrageously priced - far more than anywhere I have stayed. And the quality was average. Staff overcharged on drinks and did not correct it even when confronted. Grounds were not well kept - dirty pool area to start the day, not cleaning up after people left - food or towels. All of the complimentary bikes on site were damaged or broken entirely. I would not return and not recommend it to anyone. It is a long way to
