Voucher cancellation and refund policy: Within 14 days of purchase, Travelzoo will give you a full refund if you change your mind or can't find dates that suit you. Once you book your dates, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel's cancellation or rescheduling policy and may result in a fee or voucher forfeiture. You must cancel your reservation directly with the hotel prior to refunding your voucher. Vouchers can be refunded online by going to "My Account.” After 14 days your voucher becomes nonrefundable. Hotel cancellation and rescheduling policy: Once you’ve made your reservation, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel’s cancellation policy, and must be made by 3 p.m. local hotel time at least 72 hours prior to arrival. If you cancel or change your booking in violation of the hotel's cancellation policy, you may be subject to additional fees or voucher forfeiture.
Occupancy rules: Price based on up to 2 guests per room. Additional adults can stay for $35 per day. Children 12 and under stay free of charge. Maximum occupancy is 2 guests in a single-bedded room and 4 guests in a double-bedded room.
Additional hotel-specific charges: A 10.5% tax is not included and will be paid directly to the hotel. Parking is complimentary.

I asked to be upgraded for free since the hotel was not busy. It was refused. Some parts of the hotel is nice and others need to be updated. The hotel doesn’t offer any free breakfast amenities.

The rooms are updated & clean & if you can climb into a bed that is 3 feet high, you'll enjoy the hotel.

Having stayed at the Geneva Inn before, I was aware that their beds are extremely high off the floor, making them very difficult for people with a handicap to get on the bed. So when I booked our hotel this time, I asked if the hotel had lower beds & I was told by Kelsie, the rooms on the 1st floor are lower. I called two additional times to be sure our reservation was for a room on the 1st floor with lower beds. When we arrived at 2 PM, we were asked to wait until check-in at 3 pm, so we waited in the lobby until then. Upon entering our room at 3 PM, we were astounded to see the beds were just as high as the beds we had in previous stays! When I called the front desk & asked why we were given a room with high beds, I was told all the beds are like that, despite being told in 3 previous phone calls the beds on the 1st floor were lower! There was no apology or suggestion to help solve the problem from the hotel staff. Since I've had both knees replaced & will face ankle surgery on both ankles, my only option was to sleep on a pullout couch with a thin mattress. I even had to make up the bed myself since no employee offered to do so for me. I eventually ended up sleeping on the room chair. Needless to say we checked out at 7:30 AM!

The room was exceptionally clean and the view of the lake was AMAZING! The only challenge was the thermostat in the room did not seem to work, so the room was a bit warm. It would have been great to also have the restaurant open and available for use.

Loved the room with a Lake view. The Grandview Restaurant in the Inn used to be one of our favorite restaurants but it is quite pricey these days. There are many other options in Lake Geneva.

Maybe for this offer, give a choice of wine because I didn't like the wine chosen and didn't drink it but it was a nice gesture. I don't like to waste things. So may a sample taste of the choices upon arrival.

Very clean, comfy and spacious. I didn't get a chance to experience the balcony view as there was no more rooms with that availability. I was hoping to have one since I booked the room in advance. No one ever offered it to me as a choice so I thought all rooms had it until I found out they didn't. Anyway, if you want a balcony, do ask in advance.

Not very senior friendly Beds are so high I couldn’t get on them. Hardly slept and left with backache
No control of air or heat fan would not stop until we called down and were told the controls were operated by someone with an iPad. Little cafe in lobby is only place to have breakfast items and closed on Friday. Keurig in room but no coffee cups.

We paid to upgrade to a lake view room. This was the key to my 5 star rating. On a previous visit we stayed in a room that over looked the parking lot and as a result there was zero ambience. It was a smaller room, nothing special and a real disappointment. The upgrade was well worth the money.

The only disappointment was the hotel does not offer any type of breakfast options. Very disappointing was the “coffee grab and go counter” was not open. Front desk advising the employee was off sick. Why would a high end hotel not have multiple employees trained to operate a coffee bar? Very strange and disappointing. Front desk however was quick to offer additional k cups for in room coffee service.

The A/C was not working properly in our room and the staff did nothing to assist. We informed them as soon as we checked in and were told they were looking into it and that other guests’ rooms were also warm, however, we never noticed any coolness and had an uncomfortable night of sleep. The manager told us the next morning on checkout that they had no complaints. Further the rooms were not luxury but looked like sterile hospital or chain hotel rooms. Although we did not expect a lake view, Our view was the parking lot from which anyone could see in. This hotel was not up to travelzoo standards at all!

I changed my reservations twice, and had great service doing it. Everything exceeded my expectations. The location on the lake was wonderful, the room was a mini suite, very, very nice. The restuarant was also excellent. A great value. I look forward to my next visit to Geneva Inn.

Oh where should I begin. First the room was the noisy room my wife and myself even tried to sleep in. All night long the furnace ran nonstop and finally when it turned off a room ventilation system ran nonstop. When I made the hotel staff aware of our problems we were told. The furnace and ventilation systems can not be turned off because they are centrally controlled and there is nothing that could be done to help us sleep. It gets better now when housekeeping cleaned our room they took our full shopping bag of food, drinks and the unopened welcome bottle of wine. After calling the front desk and some time later I received a call out bag was outside our door. But no wine then after another call to the front desk and a very skeptical employee we receive our wine bottle back.

Our visit was a short overnight getaway from Chicago for our wedding anniversary. Our room was spacious and lovely and overlooked the lake. Everyone on staff was very welcoming and accommodating, from the front desk to the bar and restaurant. The hotel is very clean, nicely appointed, and convenient to the downtown area. Great views of the lake and accessible to the lake path for walking.
