The Upper West side was a nice area to stay to get out of the madness of Time Square and Rockerfeller Center Area. Great location to the metro #72 stop. Plenty of great restaurants and bars in easy walking distance.

Little dated but very clean. Their bar and restaurant is closed but still appears on their website.

I have stayed at the Beacon several times. The location is right up the street from the 72nd street subway stop. There is a grocery store right across the street and a diner next door. It is 2 blocks from Central Park. Great location for exploring the city.

Took advantage of the Travelzoo deal about five months before we went to the hotel and it was a fabulous deal probably at least 40% below the market rate that you waited until December. The hotel was fantastic doorman outside to greet you. Very cute festively decorated lobby. The king suite room was huge, bigger than some New York City one bedroom apartments. The bird initially felt very firm, which is better than very soft. It was actually quite comfortable for sleeping. The room was quiet, did not require much from housekeeping, but a few times we asked to have trash removed or towels at they were extremely responsive. The TV in the bedroom was not responsive to the remote. Initially, they sent someone up and he fixed it in a matter of minutes as there was an antenna missing from the TV to communicate with the remote. The shower and water pressure were terrific.

Overall, our stay was excellent. The location is perfect on the upper west side and minutes from 72nd St. the 1/2/3 subway line. If there were any minor, minor it’s the TVs are a bit dated and on the small size given the size of the apartment. Also, there are not many outlets in the bedroom so just be prepared for that. One side of the bed was fine, but the other side had no outlet that you could plug your phone into on the side of the bed. A few other things worth imagining, the living room/sitting room was really spacious on the couch was very comfortable. You also have a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator which came in very handy for buying things at the fairway directly across the street or bringing home leftovers from heating out. It has a full oven which for a short stay is not very useful. I would’ve much preferred a toaster oven to reheat some items but not a big deal by any means. We will definitely be back on our next day and NYC.

They gave me a room number 1010 by the elevator shaft, so the room was very noisy with banging every time an elevator went up or down. I complained and the next day they moved us a few doors away and everything was good. Next time I will be very careful to ask if the room is near an elevator shaft..

It was a great place to stay because we had a living room, bedroom and kitchenette. The location was so convenient and the staff was here helpful. I hope you offer this hotel in the spring because I would like to go back.
