We loved the location and the hospitality of the staff. We were only in Santa Barbara for one night, but we had a great time walking to the the pier for drinks, and the harbor for dinner. We also walked to breakfast the next morning. Location can't be beat!
The only reason I won't be back is because the bathroom sink is in the actual bedroom across from the bathroom (shower and toilet). The funky "decorative" lights that adorn the edges of the mirror are so low (physically and lumens) that I could barely see myself in the mirror! I am 5'10", and the lights were hanging at my neck level. I had to squat down to get the lights to shine on my face, and they were so dimmed (no dimmer switch included, btw) that I still couldn't put on make up with that lighting. I had to take the small make-up mirror provided to the window on the opposite side of the room to get any real, usable light. I'm sorry, but bathroom mirror lights need to be bright, and above the actual mirror, not dim and pointing down about halfway down the mirror. Bad design in my humble opinion.

Loved our stay at the Mason Beach Inn. Great location and a really beautiful Inn that was well kept up. Our only real knock was the lighting around the kitchen sink which needed more.
