As always, the Cambria was excellent and the staff amazing. My companion lost an item and they quickly reached out to us after our departure to arrange for returning it. This is our favorite Portland hotel.
Other Comments
I would highly recommend this hotel without reservation. The parking is convenient, staff friendly, warm, and accommodating, and the rooms and hotel are top-notch. With its convenient and walkable location to anywhere in downtown or the waterfront, the Cambria is always our first pick for our stays in Portland.

Close to Old Port. My wife talked to another employee after we left and they apologized for the previous experience with the woman at the counter.
Other Comments
My wife has a hard time getting around. She asked the woman at the counter if she could get a cup of water and was told no, she had to pay $7 for a bottle of water or go back to our room for water. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.

The Cambria is a beautiful modern hotel. The lobby is lovely and inviting with warm lighting and a comfortable ambience. The room was on the top floor with a gorgeous harbor view. It might have been an upgrade but nothing was said or asked for. It may be that their policy is to just give you the nicest room available. The bathroom is swanky, very sleek. The mattress and linens were first rate. Temperature controls were easy and intuitive. The hotel is very convenient to the downtown shopping area but on a quiet adjacent street.

It was our second visit so we were familiar with the parking situation and the unusual layout. We wish we knew, perhaps through Travelzoo, that the room isn't made up during the stay. When that happens at other hotels, there is usually a sign in the room or they notify you at check in. It wasn't a huge issue, but we avoided our room for several hours because the cleaning cart was near our room so we were surprised when we returned and it hadn't been touched.
