$99—Stay near the French Quarter

All of the staff were extremely nice. The room was clean. The food and beverage at the on-site restaurant was great.

All of the staff were pleasant and nice, but there were some issues with the overall stay. The elevators did not work for my entire stay. We either had to take the stairs or call the front desk for someone. I had to switch rooms a few times on my first night (which the night manager compensated me for by giving me a $100 room credit, which was supposed to be in addition to my daily TravelZoo credits), first because the AC did not work in the first room, I was incorrectly put into a king instead of two queens for the second room, and then the third room's toilet required maintenance. My biggest issue was billing and credits. I booked the room through a TravelZoo deal that specified that the $25.00 plus tax daily destination fee would be waived per night and I would have a $15.00 food and beverage credit per day. However, I was charged the $25.00 plus tax on the daily destination fee each day and then given a $25.00 "credit" per day as the hotel's way of waiving the destination fee, but this still required me to pay the daily tax on the destination fee, which should have been waived, and I was not given my daily $15.00 food and beverage credit. When I checked in, the front desk gave me cards that said "TravelZoo"and listed the $15.00 food and beverage credit and described the other amenities included in my booking. I tried repeatedly to use these TravelZoo cards at the restaurant on site, but each server kept telling me that the credits were already on my room and I only needed to charge my food and beverage to the room to use the credits. I questioned this with front desk hotel staff on Friday, the day I checked in, and again I question the front desk staff and the restaurant servers the next day on Saturday, and I kept being told the same thing - the credits were already on my room and I only needed to charge my food and beverage to the room to use the credits. However, upon check out on Monday, I did not have the $15.00 per day TravelZoo food and beverage credits, I was charged $25.00/day destination fee and taxes on the destination fee, which only $25.00 per day was waived that did not include a waiver of the destination fee tax, and I had an extra charge on my bill from the restaurant. I went to the front desk twice on Monday before I checked out to try to get my issues resolved, but the only thing the front desk did was remove the erroneous restaurant charge of $59.81. As I had a Uber waiting and a plane to catch that morning, I did not have time to stick around and try to resolve the issues. The total for my room, including all taxes and fees, should have been $399.45 per my confirmation with TravelZoo. In addition, I spent a total of $338.88 at the onsite restaurant. So my total should have been $399.45 room + $338.88 food = $738.33 - $100.00 room credit for room issues on the first night = $638.33 - $45.00 ($15.00 daily TravelZoo credit) = $593.33, but instead I was charged $645.83. So even without the TravelZoo credits, I was overcharged. I did reach out to the hotel after I returned home, and they credited my account for the overcharges, but gave no explanation as to why their staff did not understand how the daily TravelZoo for food and beverage worked.

Great experience overall, lovely well maintained hotel, but staff really make this place special. Started on arrival, everyone Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable making for a very pleasurable stay.They have one very special front desk employee aptly named Joy, full of positive energetic hospitality.

Bathroom space is tight,would have appreciated a fan, more hooks and/or shelves.

Food at restaurant/lounge was very tasty.

found no parking available near location. Found old bottle cap under desk and white cotton-like cloth under sink. Also just got notice that they are charging extra tax. More than one week after my stay. Now I have to check my charge card to see the charges piled on

Overall, everything went smoothly. The walk to the French Quarter was very convenient.

Roomsnhad awkward layout and small, but location makes up for that and hotel staff very accommodating with any requests

The staff at Le Meridian were THE BEST! They made our stay wonderful!

The staff was friendly and helpful from the start. The ambiance of the hotel lobby and restaurant felt upscale. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

It has a great location being right across the street from Caesars. The staff could not have been nicer, especially Carmen, a supervisor. She did everything she could to make us happy, and she is the only reason we didn't demand a refund so we could move.

The rooms are awful. Coffee maker was difficult to use (first one was missing a part), they only do housekeeping by request but they only give you 2 towels. Minifridge didn't work, so they brought another one and set it up in front of the window. Beds were very uncomfortable. Lighting in the bathroom was awful. Big complaint about the lack of ice makers. They only have 2 floors with ice makers, and the rooms have the smallest ice buckets I have ever seen.

Great location, you just cross the street to the casino and so close to the mall. The lobby was beautiful. Our king room was as expected, it was roomy enough for two. The front desk was not helpful when I needed an extra pillow when we checked in. Apparently, the staff that handled those were gone for the night. The mattress was good, I did not wake up with backache. My husband wanted a beer but the drinks in their mini bar in the room were expired! There was a courtyard at the first floor where you can sit and hangout before walking out of the gate into the street. Overall it was a lovely experience. I would stay here again.

A very nice hotel in a great location right off canal St. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the hotel and room! Perfect location!

Staff were very very nice. Ms. Joy was a JOY to talk to. Love the pralines at check in. I had an issue with my air not blowing cool and although the hotel was busy they did change our room. The second room did get cooler than the first but not to the temperature I would have liked. Other family members stated the rooms didn't get as cold as they would have liked and seemed like during the late night, early morning time period although you had your thermostat at a particular temperature, it did feel warmer. Other than me preferring my room ice cold, every was top notch. Location was great, valet was friendly and efficient.

The AC struggled to keep the room cool.

When I checked in they did not want to honor the terms of the TravelZoo voucher, specifically the waived resort fee with amenities.

Hotel and rooms were beautiful, no complaints. Third visit to New Rleans and thus was the best hotel I've stayed in. I will return.

Traffic noise was bad even on the 20th floor.

Travelzoo promised alot of perks like free bikes, free boat ride, free desert, $15 worth of food credit etc. We didn't get any of those promises. I specifically joined Travelzoo to get these perks but were denied at check in because they said travelzoo opted out. They did refund me $15.

I love everything except the restaurant service; it took more than 30 minutes to be served our breakfast.

The Room and the restaurant. The last day they finally did something about the smell. The smell was only in the Lobby and Restaurant area. The restaurant staff was friendly too. The location is also very good.

When you first walk in a bad smell greets you in the Lobby/restaurant. Staff was not very helpful when I asked about what was including and how it worked. They didn't seem to know much about the Travel Zoo reservation perks. Also they did not honor the $15 daily restaurant credit, they said they didn't honor that anymore. The parking was supposed to be $49/day and they said it was now $52. The so called daily Chef's desert was nothing but some candy. The room was good though, and the restaurant Menu and food were also good.

Fantastic king suite, maintained gym, and convenient restaurant and to-go store. Great location for walking or taking a quick ride to all nearby attractions. Nice and quiet at night.

The roses and rosé welcome on Valentine's Day was a lovely touch! Our room was not ready when we arrived so we grabbed a drink at the bat - which they comped! Room was spacious and very clean. Great location (especially being across the street from Mother's Restaurant) We go to New Orleans every year and Le Meridien has been by far the best value.

Enjoyed the visit. Except our neighbors in the adjoining rooms were loud and noisy from 2 am to 4:30 am. I guess they were part of a group. A real pain and obnoxious young people.

Had a great room, although the walls between the rooms are not sound proof, we could hear all the noise , bathroom use and TV sounds from the room next door. That was a BIG disappointment.

The LeMeridian is in a perfect location for New Orleans. Easy walk to the quarter and the warehouse district. Across the street from the casino and Mothers restaurant. The bed is a little soft but the staff was wonderful. I would stay there again for the price.

The details of the rooms are less than desired. The carpet is coming out from the wall and the shower is beginning to mildew. Just small details but noticeable. Overall, the room is comfortable, and the amenities are good. Coffee in the lobby every morning was the best.

The booking was made for the incorrect date 1/25 instead of 1/15. When we got to the front desk, it was quite a mixup. Spoke to the supervisor there on duty and he managed to honor our booking. I had emails from Travelzoo showing the correct date but in the system it was 1/25 instead. Thank goodness, they honored it Made For
