Had short but sweet stay to check out a different area of New Orleans. Lovely, sleek hotel with especially comfortable bedding and wonderful proximity to great restaurants and Caesar's casino.

First, they tried to dishonor our TravelZoo rate and make us pay standard rate during Mardi Gras. Had to present booking confirmation with pricing. Second, I had a $15 food and beverage credit, used it at the bar. Also tried to tack that onto my bill. Then, charged me $64 for valet parking because my standard sized SUV is deemed “oversized” to them, only for them to park it on the street overnight, risking my windows getting busted (as it happens very frequently in that part of NOLA). My car was returned to me full of bird poo by a rude valet person who never made eye contact and wouldn’t get off of his cell phone. Lastly, you could hear EVERYTHING going on outside the hotel. Conversations, very loud street noise, people slamming their doors, etc. The toilet wouldn’t flush, and the shower was filthy. Overall experience was garbage, as well as our stay. Would NOT stay here again, and concierge blamed me “for booking through a third party” for the mix up in rates.

Nearly all of the staff was attentive and friendly, just one gentleman at bar area in the morning spent his time on the phone and would not answer a question.

The room smelled of marijuana. The bathroom was very small, barely able to shut door while standing in bathroom.

Traveling with a friend; we both had a room through TravelZoo. We were very pleased to receive the little extras (besides the room) through TravelZoo--the $15 daily credit for food and drink, etc. The check in for me was outstanding--the young woman at the desk urged me to join the Convoy club, which I did and she added a few extra goodies to my bag and was extremely pleasant. The restaurant staff, however, was slow and largely disinterested in serving us both meals that we ate there. That was disappointing. In-room amenities were not great. But I would stay there again at this price. The location is excellent, within easy reach of the French Quarter and the Garden district--easy travel on the street car. Not too safe to walk at night, though.

The hotel was fine - typical of a AAA four diamond hotel. It was directly across the street from Caesar's Casino and within easy walking district of the French Quarter. The room appeared newly remodeled. It was clean and well appointed, but quite small. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The $15 daily room credit for food and beverage was nice as well as the free passes for the trolleys, busses and ferries. The negatives were that there are no ice machines, to get ice you must go to the front desk where you are given a small bag of ice; on two nights the hot water didn't work (but they did get it repaired fairly quickly) and, our 18th floor room faced a solid wall.

The room was nice size. Appreciated the free coffee every morning and the street car vouchers. However, had issue with housekeeping. Came late on one day and did not show up on another day.
