A short stroll from the waterfront in the historic Old Port District, the Portland Harbor Hotel is also within a 10-minute walk of the Victoria Mansion and the Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine. The hotel is less than half a mile from the ferry servicing coastal islands and sightseeing cruises while beaches and lighthouses are a short drive away.

Guest rooms have wood floors and large windows and are outfitted in nautical-themed furnishings. All rooms have one king or two double beds, down pillows, free Wi-Fi and granite bathrooms, some with soaking tubs. Upgrades are available to suites with extras like separate seating areas, Jacuzzi tubs and double-sided fireplaces. City-view rooms look out over the bustling cobblestone streets, while garden-view units face the charming courtyard. Pets are welcome for an additional $25 nightly fee.

Each floor features a touchscreen Starbucks machine at which guests can help themselves to complimentary coffee, tea and seltzer water. Guests also have free access to the hotel’s bicycles, fitness center and outdoor fire pits.

For breakfast, lunch and dinner, the hotel’s BlueFin North Atlantic Seafood serves locally caught seafood and seasonal ingredients grown throughout Maine. Diners have the option of eating indoors or alfresco. To reach the city’s attractions and restaurants, the hotel provides a town car service for guests.

Staff was fabulous, location is central as you can walk everywhere, loved the coffee/tea bar on the floor, it was very convenient for me, also hung out in lobby one night playing cards. Wish we could have spent more time in garden and by fire pit, alas it was rTher cool.
