Great location and rooms, especially for multiple days with family. We only had one spoiler, and unfortunately is my last impression of the property... The last night of our stay we had an early flight, but the room neighbors were having a party (lots of people, loud music, screaming from time to time). I called the front desk multiple times before it finally calmed down for good around 2am. Only 2 hours of sleep before a travel day was brutal and a sad way to cap an otherwise decent stay. And for a property that requires background checks and strict on number of people in the room (contract states "Parties are strictly prohibited" with a fee schedule for penalties including excessive noise and over capacity), they didn't seem to care a ton that this was happening, break it up, or maybe charge them extra (to compensate us even?). If it was a party, that would be a breach of contract every guest has to sign--they need to enforce it.

It might be the very best hotel that I have ever stayed in. The beds were fabulous. The location was very convenient. Would love to go back. As a Canadian, it is difficult to find reasonably priced hotels. I will keep my eyes open for the next special at this fabulous hotel.

The Mint House is a gem. The room is beautiful, clean and spacious by NYC standard. So glad I found this on Travelzoo :) We will definitely book again!

Excellent modern accommodations in a very good location. The unit is very spacious. The staff is very nice. However, there is a lot of traffic noise in the morning. The unit does not have good soundproof as I heard a lot of cars honking beginning around 7-8AM in the morning. I ddn's ask to change rooms as I am ok with the noise. Mattress is a bit on the softer side.

The hotel was wonderful. it was really close to a subway station. The room was very large and nicely decorated The kitchen had everything you would need to cook if you wanted to cook. Sound quality of the room was very good. I never heard sirens or horn hooking which you here in NYC or the sounds of other guests in rooms. The price was an extreme bargain for NYC. Thank you Mint house and travelzoo.
