The resort itself is beautiful, full of history, and offers an incredible experience. The food at the restaurants in the resort was fantastic. Tillie’s restaurant on the other hand didn’t live up to expectations and is one I would recommend avoiding. We stayed from Wednesday to Sunday, and during the weekdays, the staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. However, once the weekend rolled around, the service took a noticeable downturn.

The staff seemed rushed, lacked the same warmth, and didn't offer the same attention to detail that we experienced earlier in the week. In fact, on Saturday, our room wasn’t serviced at all. This shift in quality is the main reason I couldn’t give a 5-star rating. We would consider returning during the weekdays but will be passing on any future weekend stays. As for Tillie’s, it was a major disappointment. The draft beers were stale (I tried two different ones), the food was lackluster, and the portions were small for the price. While I understand it’s only open on weekends, you only get one chance to make a first impression, and they did make a long-lasting impression. Overall, the resort is great, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both weekend service and dining options.

Beautiful and historic resort property in south-central Pennsylvania. Convenient to Philadelphia, State College, Pittsburgh, or the Washington-Baltimore area. Short drive to the the Flight 93 National Memorial. This Omni hotel is spotless and very well managed. Staff is terrific. Wait for the Travelzoo offer to save a lot of money. Treat yourself to a spa session.

This is a lovely resort but un\fortunately it needs some tender loving care. It is showing its age since the last renovation but only a little tender loving care would take care of a number of the problems. Somehow, the management is not paying enough attention to details. For example, the seal at the top of the door to the steam room is coming off. It would take very little time or money to fix that. There was a lot of trash under our beds; it looked like housekeeping had not vacuumed there is a very long time. The baseboards in the elevator were scarred up from luggage racks; this could have been avoided by installing metal baseboards there or touching up the wood to hide the white marks. All this being said, we would go again but the building is looking a little tired and run down.
