The resort itself is beautiful, full of history, and offers an incredible experience. The food at the restaurants in the resort was fantastic. Tillie’s restaurant on the other hand didn’t live up to expectations and is one I would recommend avoiding.
We stayed from Wednesday to Sunday, and during the weekdays, the staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. However, once the weekend rolled around, the service took a noticeable downturn.

We stayed from Wednesday to Sunday, and during the weekdays, the staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. However, once the weekend rolled around, the service took a noticeable downturn. The staff seemed rushed, lacked the same warmth, and didn't offer the same attention to detail that we experienced earlier in the week. In fact, on Saturday, our room wasn’t serviced at all. This shift in quality is the main reason I couldn’t give a 5-star rating. We would consider returning during the weekdays but will be passing on any future weekend stays.
As for Tillie’s, it was a major disappointment. The draft beers were stale (I tried two different ones), the food was lackluster, and the portions were small for the price. While I understand it’s only open on weekends, you only get one chance to make a first impression, and they did make a long-lasting impression.
Overall, the resort is great, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both weekend service and dining options.

Beautiful and historic resort property in south-central Pennsylvania. Convenient to Philadelphia, State College, Pittsburgh, or the Washington-Baltimore area. Short drive to the the Flight 93 National Memorial. This Omni hotel is spotless and very well managed. Staff is terrific. Wait for the Travelzoo offer to save a lot of money. Treat yourself to a spa session.

This is a lovely resort but un\fortunately it needs some tender loving care. It is showing its age since the last renovation but only a little tender loving care would take care of a number of the problems. Somehow, the management is not paying enough attention to details. For example, the seal at the top of the door to the steam room is coming off. It would take very little time or money to fix that. There was a lot of trash under our beds; it looked like housekeeping had not vacuumed there is a very long time. The baseboards in the elevator were scarred up from luggage racks; this could have been avoided by installing metal baseboards there or touching up the wood to hide the white marks. All this being said, we would go again but the building is looking a little tired and run down.

The resort and setting are beautiful and the service is mostly wonderful. The spa is extremely expensive, but amazing - so serene. But, there is definitely room for improvement, especially for the price, particularly in F&B. Only the steakhouse and tavern were open for lunch and dinner. Ate at both twice. Prices were astronomical and the food quality and presentation were inconsistent to say the least. $90 for an over cooked steak plus all à la carte sides make for a disappointing waste of money. The charcuterie board in the tavern cost $27, had approximately $ 3-5 worth of grocery store cheese and meat, no fruit, nuts, etc., and came with 4 thin slices of baguette that took the kitchen 40 minutes to prepare. Cocktails were also ridiculously expensive ($22 for a martini). Restaurant staff were wonderful, though.

I love the hotel I wish the mattress was a bit more comfortable and the one thing I didn’t like was the spa all of the pools in the spa were women or men only so I couldn’t be with my husband in the spa. I would definitely not use the spa again

Location of the room was in the old part of the hotel, room 230, very far away from the main lobby. It was extremely difficult to get to the room and to navigate our way with luggage due to stairs. Although the rooms were renovated, they were not in keeping with a five-star Resort. It was more like three stars. I would never pay for $400 or $500 a night for this room.

We inquired at check-in about the $25 daily Resort credit and were told it applied on the 1st and 2nd day, but not on checkout day. We specifically asked if you could be used with alcohol purchase and were told yes, there were no prohibitions. However when we went to check out, the $25 credit was not taken off. We had to speak with the front desk. That should be made clearer with the promotion.
Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. We especially appreciated the parking attendants and wait staff at the Crystal Room.
We indulged in a $135 pedicure, but we're disappointed. It was so so. Nothing special. The setup was not luxurious or conducive to a relaxing atmosphere as the stations were too close together not very comfortable. We missed having a reclining, massage chair and there should have been an actual, hands-on (leg) massage as part of the pedicure. The rolly ball simply did not cut it. Also did not care for the warm oil on my feet, followed by heated bags of rice for 10+ minutes.

We are accustomed to staying at Omni’s and are a huge fan. This one is not the same. The male behind the check-in desk should not be an ambassador of the hotel. We were not greeted nor made to feel welcomed in any way. Yes, we bought a travelzoo deal but we are also Omni travelers. We did not receive any typical Omni “extras”.

The main areas of the inn are nice. Some staff are nice and some made you feel like you were an inconvenience. I can’t say enough good things about the bellman and the young lady working the bar. They were the friendliest employees we faced. We would have used the spa but the employee said locals were using it and he would have to see if there was even room for overnight guests to purchase a day pass. So that was a fast no nor did he offer to show us the spa facilities. I know it’s winter and slow times but come on Omni you still have paying guests. The restaurants should be open. I believe for the time of year , the price was extremely too high. The hotel ran out of coffee and gave their guest great value cups! We were underwhelmed for sure.

Our experience at the Omni Bedford Springs was wonderful, from the friendly valet with a warm greeting in the subzero wind chill to the front desk and spa all of the staff were fantastic and welcoming. The entire resort lived up to its reputation, providing a relaxing and restorative weekend and glimpse back in time. I'm sure it would be incredible in Summer and Autumn when the entire grounds would be more enticing but even in the dead of Winter the coziness shone through with inviting fireplaces and oversized leather chairs to sink into while enjoying a cocktail and live music in the lobby.
