Very friendly staff. You must use the Valet to park on property, but even that was not a bad thing. The staff are incredibly kind and out going. The room was a bit smaller than expected and the walls are not sound proofed, so we could hear the neighbor's alarm when it went off in the morning, but the rooms was clean and fresh and ready for us.

We were not asked about pet allergies upon check-in and were given a room that had previously been occupied by a dog and smelled of pet urine. We were a group of 5 for a girls weekend and both rooms had a foul odor of pet urine. We had to purchase a candle to mask the odor, but that did not help. My friend is also very allergic to dogs and suffered the entire weekend. Very disappointing of a high end hotel Ike this to not have a better policy regarding pet rooms and non pet rooms. We all love dogs, but that was unacceptable.

I was concerned after reading google reviews on this hotel but it was much better than expected! We had a great time and feel like the hotel is good value for money. It was clean, staff was nice and location is great. We would stay again.

My only complaint is that there were children in the room above us who were running around in the evening and early morning. We are retired and so enjoy quiet and peaceful surroundings. I will request no one be above next visit.

The hotel staff is good, and hotel itself is in a very good location. The room was subpar. There are even many fixes that could be done that would cost very little, but would make a big difference in its livability. For instance, why are there absolutely zero towel racks, hooks, etc for a hotel? There looked to be a fan in the bathroom, but no switch, allowing the bathroom to stay dark, cold and musty. There was not a soap dish, so the bar of soap slid around on top of the counter, making it difficult to use.

Lovely hotel across from beach. After a long train ride to Santa Barbara, we decided to walk to the hotel, which was a little longer than a mile and a half. It was a beautiful walk! Hotel stay was just overnight, but staff was great and bed and pillows were very comfortable. Very nice pool area and little restaurant. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location, cross Cabrillo and there's the ocean. The room was very clean. The staff were all very courteous and professional.
Considering this was touted as an upscale Hyatt property the following were a disappointment: Minimal coffee service in the morning. Minimal options to purchase sundries. Minimal in room toiletries.

Valet parking ONLY. At $48/day is a steep price. One wished for another parking option. Very minimal amenities were a disappointment.
