The only issue was that our room was not available until 2 hours after stated check-in time. We weren't able to check in until 6pm. The hotel staff said they had a lot of guest turnover that day. Also, there are very limited food offerings for dinner on the island

Beautiful old hotel with a distinctive feel and ambiance of relaxation. Lovely staff who were thoughtful and sought to accommodate any requests. The room was not large (it’s an old place after all) but very well appointed, pretty decor, nice linens and fluffy towels and comfortable bed. Hotel has many cozy places the gather and mingle. Jekyll Island is gorgeous! We came with bikes ready to explore the many trails and different areas of the island—did not disappoint!

Travel Zoo made the booking so easy. The Island Club Hotel is a wonderful historic residence with unbelievable magnificent trees and walking paths. Take the trolley tour to learn about the history and view one of the original cottages on the property. They provide a shuttle to go to their adjacent property the Ocean Club so you dont really need to drive. We will be back.

It is a beautiful old hotel that has been renovated. The grounds are gorgeous with the old oak trees. This hotel is not on the beach but overlooks the intercoastal waterway. The only thing we did not like is we were told we would have a king bed and it was a queen. Also, the room was very small.

This was a friends trip. We were all able to reserve our own rooms. They were beautiful. The hotel was beautiful with a lot of history and a relaxed “gilded age” vibe. The Travelzoo deal gave us beach access with umbrellas and chairs, which made for a wonderful beach day with my friends. We ate dinner at The Warf and watched the sunset. I pray this deal comes around again, because I will definitely go back.

Room was "blah", with tiny bathroom and big furniture that left only walking space around the bed. The only seating was a huge wing chair, so we requested another small chair that was delivered by the second day of our stay. Our view was of the metal roof, so it didn't matter that the windows were filthy. I liked not having room service unless requsted, since all our belongings didn't
have to be put away each day. A nice benefit was having access to the Ocean Club by shuttle, so that we could access the beach. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The complimentary historic tour of the hotel was very good.

The hotel and grounds totally exceeded my expectations! It was absolutely beautiful and we would love to return. It was nice to be able to go to the sister hotel and use the beach chairs on the beach. I kind of felt like we had the best of both worlds, we got to stay at the Club where the grounds were absolutely breath taking and still got to spend time on the beach. They provided transportation but we rode our bikes. We also loved the Wharf restaurant, ate there twice and had awesome waiters both times.

Beautiful resort in a lovely setting. Staff is wonderful. Loved the atmosphere of by-gone days. Very tranquil and relaxing. Lots of amenities included. Only issue we had was the lack of ramps for mobility-impaired guests. There was a lift from ground level to main floor but had to be operated by the concierge only. Housekeeping services are by request only. Rooms are smaller than we expected. Overall, though, it is a wonderful resort. Definitely worth the price I paid through Travelzoo; overpriced if not getting a discount.

The first morning there we ate In the Grand Dining Room. The buffet breakfast was $34 per person. We were asked if we wanted juice. We did want juice (orange & cranberry), and thought it was included in the buffet price. However, it was not. We were charged $8 for two 4oz of juice. After the tip, we paid $97 for breakfast for two. I think that is a little rich. I liked the Jekyll Island Club Hotel when it was run by the State. The Grand Dining room was available for breakfast (they knew how to host a buffet), lunch and dinner. (I think COVID ruined a lot of that).

We love Jekyll Island club resort we have stayed there and been there several times we were there two years ago for our anniversary greeted with a bottle of champagne and a nice card. This time we were asked if we were coming for a special occasion and we did say it was our 20th anniversary. I don’t know why cause it wasn’t acknowledged in the room we had although we understand it was a very good value. It was a room overlooking rooftops that every window little disappointing but still a good value.

The hotel has lots of charm, and the surrounding Historic District is very interesting and walkable. Jekyll Island is beautiful with lovely beaches and ancient live oaks.

Great value. Travel zoo was priced below hotel site. I was able to see what hotel rate was for given dates before purchasing. I was given option to book 2nd room and entered my brothers name and cc info, but when it booked, it reverted to my name and cc for the 2nd room. The hotel was happy to update the name. Not sure if because a member deal the rooms had to be booked on my name and cc.

The hotel was fantastic. They reached out to us a week before arrival to see if concierge could assist us with meal or experience reservations and to let us know check in time and that they were looking forward to our visit. They also inquired if special occasion. Was our 40 th anniversary a Valentines Day. They had rose on bed and sent sparkling wine and congratulations card to room. They also, arranged to have our guests rooms right across the hall. Breakfast buffet in grand dining room was elegant and tasty. Beds and linens super comfy. Loved every minute of our visit in this classic, historic hotel.

This is a beautiful historic property in a wonderful location. It has everything to make a stay restful and enjoyable. We were there in November while they were preparing for the Christmas holidays and we would love to go there in December to enjoy the decorations.
