Great experience here especially the rooms facing the inner courtyard which helps avoid the considerable noise of Bourban Street. Staff is super friendly and helpful but not overbearing. On-site restaurants, café, and Jazz club definitely a plus.
Other Comments
Because of the historical nature of the hotel, there are a lot of noises from toilets flushing and such, but it's not unbearable.

All staff were friendly and helpful. Only concern was we ran into problems with cleaning staff being unavailable while we were out, and showing up much later after we had already returned to our room. Would not prevent a future stay, in fact we hope to return!

This hotel is right on Bourbon street yet our room was quiet at night (except for a few party goers walking to their room). Getting to the valet parking is difficult (only parking available.)

I really like this hotel but they cleaned some our close & charged us $113.00. That was horrible

They charged us $113.00 for cleaning our close. We won’t go back there because of that.

It was delightful until the "fire" then everything went south. I understand crisis. Believe me but it is how you respond to it that matters. The staff was unapologetic, rude, and even defiant. We received no notification. (But random texts two hours after the fire asking about our stay) of the event. We trotted up the dark stairs and halls to retrieve out things and dragged our luggage down four flights. No acknowledgement of the inconvenience. No apology and subpar replacement room accommodations... no balcony. No pool. Such a shame. It is a glorious place but the customer service is very mixed. They have some amazing ... capital A ... employees and some very rude and just plain nasty ones. I love the hotel but I am not sure I would ever darken their door again. They left me with a very very bad taste in my mouth and zero acknowledgement of the inconvenience and no acknowledgement of the amazing fire department who ensured all souls were alive and unharmed in the media which is where we received most information. Just a "no comment." To this day, no apology or acknowledgement. It was a sister's birthday weekend and we chose them. I will say the jazz in house was amazing as was the pool, pool staff, and a wonderful gentleman who was always in the lobby greeting and helping us and all. They need some serious crisis response training.
