Great experience here especially the rooms facing the inner courtyard which helps avoid the considerable noise of Bourban Street. Staff is super friendly and helpful but not overbearing. On-site restaurants, café, and Jazz club definitely a plus.
Other Comments
Because of the historical nature of the hotel, there are a lot of noises from toilets flushing and such, but it's not unbearable.

All staff were friendly and helpful.
Only concern was we ran into problems with cleaning staff being unavailable while we were out, and showing up much later after we had already returned to our room. Would not prevent a future stay, in fact we hope to return!

This hotel is right on Bourbon street yet our room was quiet at night (except for a few party goers walking to their room). Getting to the valet parking is difficult (only parking available.)

It was delightful until the "fire" then everything went south. I understand crisis. Believe me but it is how you respond to it that matters. The staff was unapologetic, rude, and even defiant. We received no notification. (But random texts two hours after the fire asking about our stay) of the event. We trotted up the dark stairs and halls to retrieve out things and dragged our luggage down four flights. No acknowledgement of the inconvenience. No apology and subpar replacement room accommodations... no balcony. No pool. Such a shame. It is a glorious place but the customer service is very mixed. They have some amazing ... capital A ... employees and some very rude and just plain nasty ones. I love the hotel but I am not sure I would ever darken their door again. They left me with a very very bad taste in my mouth and zero acknowledgement of the inconvenience and no acknowledgement of the amazing fire department who ensured all souls were alive and unharmed in the media which is where we received most information. Just a "no comment." To this day, no apology or acknowledgement. It was a sister's birthday weekend and we chose them. I will say the jazz in house was amazing as was the pool, pool staff, and a wonderful gentleman who was always in the lobby greeting and helping us and all. They need some serious crisis response training.

Centrally located right on Bourbon street which makes it convenient. Depending on your room location that can be a little noisy. My room was right by the pool and it did get a little noisy but overall my experience was good. The staff were very nice and helpful.

In the heart of French Quarter, location is ideal for all who want a central place on Bourbon Street. The balcony room with access to pool is literally, a shared balcony with a whole bunch of other rooms that lead right to the pool area. The hotel has a quiet time from 10 pm to 8 am which is nice, but does get loud during the day with plenty of music and partying guests.

The restaurant Desiree that is part of the hotel does have a phone number but don't expect anyone to answer as it doesn't ring but goes straight to a voicemail that says mailbox is full.

This hotel is well appointed and luxurious. The decor is “old world glamorous “ with fountains and crystal chandeliers and marble walls. The staff is excellent, friendly and attentive.
HOWEVER, the food in the coffee shop and the Oyster Bar restaurant was only average. (I didn’t eat oysters here)
My room could have been a sanctuary EXCEPT in the evenings when the Jazz venue, directly below my room, shook my room with their LOUD LOUD, LOUD music for several hours.
Because of its great location on Bourbon street this is NOT the place to stay if you like quiet evenings after a long day of sightseeing.

The hotel was wonderful. The only downfall was that our room faced the street and we had loud club music pumping into our room until 12am pr 3am on the weekend. That was the only set back. Otherwise, this hotel was great.

All of the people at the hotel were friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms were immaculate and delicious coffees werr available to brew. the beds were very comfortable and the bedding was of a high quality. The only problem we had is that our room faced Bourban street and it was very noisy until 4:30 am. The next timewe stay there, we'll request rooms facing the courtyard.

Easy to walk to the highlights of the city from the Sonesta. Even though the hotel is on Bourbon St, we could not hear the noise from the street at night. Loved having a jazz club on site and the jazz park right across from the hotel. The staff was wonderful at the hotel, restaurants and jazz club. Didn't get to use the pool as it was too cold in early February 2025 when we visited.

Computer in the business center did not work, could not use. Wasn't fixed while we were there for 4 nights. Neither the hotel or the WW II museum knew anything about the 10% museum discount we were supposed to get with our Travel Zoo package. So, couldn't use this piece.
