No shampoo in the room and the light above the bed was out. Mgmt did respond quickly to resolve. Experience was quite unusual for a Marriott property, having started at Marriott hotels more than 1,200 nights in my lifetime. Usually our stays are top-notch.

Pet-Friendly experience. Dog in adjoining room barked repeatedly until after midnight. Mgmt had a poor response to our concern. Two dogs got into a dog fight at the elevator entrance while we were waiting. Had to jump out of the way. Was told “That’s what dogs do”.

We stayed there on a couples getaway. Location was great to walk to several restaurants and coffee shops. Fun neighborhood with lots of shops and galleries. Parking garage is attached as well as the hotel next door. Great Bars each lobby with games to play in several seating arrangements.

We had a fantastic stay at the Aloft Asheville. It is centrally located, well maintained and dog friendly. We stayed there near Halloween and they had a fundraiser dog costume contest for a local rescue which we ended up participating in. Great to see a hotel supporting a good cause!

This hotel is in a great location in downtown Asheville. You can walk to many shops and restaurants. Parking garage is connected to the hotel for easy access. Hotel room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff was friendly. We were close to the swimming pool which was nice and I heard the workout room was also good although I did not go myself. The in room coffee was terrible but they have ok complimentary coffee available at the check in area. Comfy beds. Overall great experience at this hotel.
