The Collanade Hotel was a great place to stay in the city of Boston. The location in the Back Bay area was ideal for us and the pet friendly services were above anything we ever experienced traveling with a 70 lb dog! The best part about the entire experience was she hotel staff, everyone we encountered was very pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.

Even though it was specifically offered, the hotel does not offer valet. I pulled up in rush hour and waited for someone to come out until finally I left my car double parked and went inside. The person at the front desk just said they do not have valet, and to pull into the adjacent garage. Very awkward. I left my bags with the front desk and parked myself but once in the garage I had to pull over to call the front desk for instructions on where in the garage I was supposed to park and if I needed to take a ticket. Again, very awkward. Once in the room, it was very clean with a pleasant view. The furnishings were slightly worn but the bed was comfortable. Sadly the heat would not turn off so it was a very uncomfortable night. The shower pressure was lovely but the tub wouldn't drain. There was also some mold in the tub. Chromecast was advertised but the feature did not work, nor could anyone fix it. The restaurant was fine, average for a hotel breakfast. Overall, just too many misses. Next time I'm in the area for work I will book elsewhere.

There was a 'service room' in the lobby that had coffee, tea, water and snacks which was nice for tourists like us to grab something before going sightseeing or something on return. The pool was fantastic. Great pool and staff. A couple of snags - the GFCI outlet in the bathroom was not functional and we didn't notice until the next morning. The staff should have caught this before arrival, but it was repaired very quickly after we notified them. Parking garage was full upon arrival. I had to park across the street at the PRU for $24 until I could move my car back to the hotel garage to take advantage of 50% off parking.

This stay was a birthday trip for my husband, who wanted to check out the rooftop pool. The hotel is beautiful, clean, spacious, and in the perfect location next to so many attractions in Boston. All of the staff were extremely professional and pleasant. The room was great and we had a 9th-floor view of the South End and beyond on a gorgeously clear day. The rooftop pool was nice, although space and lounger access was at a premium. We would definitely return, though.

We appreciated the great location, the large room and the ability to open a window. The AC was VERY loud and we turned it off periodically (including while we slept). We would have liked to use the pool but it was terribly crowded. I would have appreciated a way to make boiling water for tea without using the Keurig, which makes tea taste like coffee because of the remaining coffee left in the machine. But I appreciated that staff were willing to bring me hot water for my teabags.

My King room was perfect. Lots of space, table to sit at if needed, coffee bar, lovely bathroom. I was on the top floor with easy access to the rooftop pool. The pool area was busy on Sunday afternoon when I arrived. It started clearing out around 5pm, and was quiet on Monday morning.
There’s a Logan Express bus that takes you straight to the airport one street over. My granddaughter and I just wheeled our luggage through the mall which is directly across the street, down the escalator, and you’re at the bus stop. $3 for adults with children under 17 free with an adult. The bus is free if you’re coming from the airport to Back Bay. A great deal! The Green line (subway) is right outside hotel door. Great way to get around to areas that you can’t walk to.

We typically stay at the Westin Copley Plaza but ended up cancelling and going with the Colonnade Travel Zoo special - mainly because of the parking discount. (Self parking only FYI). We really enjoyed the hotel, the rooftop pool is awesome. Guest room is roomy - plenty of room. Comfortable layout and nicely appointed. Beds and pillows were comfortable, immediate hot water in bathroom and strong shower pressure. Only a couple of comments... room is lacking in outlets/usb/usbc outlets that you typically find at newer hotels. Not frustrating enough to never stay there however it is a bit inconvenient especially if you have to do some work. All of the staff were amazing - from the lifeguard to the bartenders---- With the exception of the incredibly rude front desk agent that checked us out. She was either an incredibly unhappy individual or having a bad day (keep in mind it was only 11am). Dreadful. If I would have encountered her at check in, likely would have left.
