The hotel was beautiful and in a perfect location. It was close to many restaurants and activities and the views were stunning from anywhere around the property.

The hotel does advertise coffee and cookies and both times that we attempted to grab some coffee they were out and they did not have any cookies due to a broken oven.

We had been here previously 7 years ago but they have extensively renovated the property since. The changes and upgrades were a pleasant surprise, as was how dog friendly the location was although we didn't bring ours this time. Breakfast was satisfactory and made much more special by the fact that you can eat right next to the ocean view.

We felt like we were at a resort, rather than a Hotel. My husband was disappointed that it was not closer to the pier, but after arriving and enjoying the resort with seating areas with views and fireplaces, he changed his mind and thought it was the best location in Pismo! The rooms are beautifully updated, the balcony view was the great!!

The continental breakfast was ok, there were workers (a construction crew) that ate at same time with us, and were quite loud, as they all new each other, and made the breakfast time less enjoyable.

I loved the hotel but the front desk staff was not friendly upon arrival and the next day leaving. The day we left there were 3 sitting at the front desk and we barely got a head nod as we left. We usually stay at The Inn at the Cove. Your location and price are better but their front desk staff were much more personable and professional.

We only stayed 1 night, on our way home from Thanksgiving weekend in Santa Cruz. We wish we could’ve stayed two. The room was clean & spacious. Our balcony, from which we saw a beautiful sunset, overlooked the ocean & hotel grounds. The grounds were immaculate, with lots of seating & fire heaters everywhere. The staff were pleasant & helpful. The location was great. We walked to downtown & the pier and back. We are very impressed with this hotel.

Upon check-in, hotel swiped my credit card with ~$25 extra without any explanation. Overall layout of hotel is kind of confusing. Breakfast is mediocre. Water pressure is so low, I am not sure if I rinsed all the soap off.

Really beautiful location overlooking the ocean in Pismo. There is a lot of outdoor space with games, fire pits, lounge chairs to enjoy the view. Convenient steps down to the ocean allow for a great walk on the beach down to the pier. Light breakfast was included and the staff were very friendly. The room was spotless and I really enjoyed spending time on the balcony listening to the waves. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Travelzoo / SeaCrest reservation was flawless. Check-in was fast. The room location/view was not as good as my prior stays (but I guess someone has to stay in those rooms ;-). The room was a good size, very clean and comfy. Everything worked like it should.

When you stay at SeaCrest you'll find all the guests are happy and smiling when you meet them. It's a combination of the staff, the hotel and sea air that makes staying here something special.

This was a wonderful trip had by all in my family. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. We decided to stay an extra day and the staff made sure yo keep us updated on room availability. We stayed two nights in different rooms and both were great. The ocean view and lovely grounds made for an excellent visit. We took advantage of table side food service. The service was friendly, prompt and delicious. It was so good that we went to the restaurant the next day. Great views from there as well. We can’t wait to return!

beautiful property location. Very big and clean rooms. No resort fee and free parking. Good value as it includes a continental breakfast. Nothing is perfect and there were a few flaws to point out. Walls are thin and I heard a tv all night long from next door room. unlucky me. The heater did not go on and no additional blankets in room. These 2 issues could not be resolved in the middle of the night. Last thing is they are doing heavy road work during the the night right in front of the hotel. Big equipment so you will hear it. This is obviously out of the control of the hotel. Not sure how long this will be going on. Family friendly - lots of kids and teens. This is a very big hotel in size.

Loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Our room had a balcony and view of the pier. The hot breakfast was delicious! Amazing coffee! We enjoyed our bottle of wine ( part of the Travelzoo deal) at the fire pits on the rooftop. Also, no gym, but we got a day pass at the athletic club next door for $10.

When I saw the offer for this hotel, I was very excited about it because it was a beach front hotel and the photos looked great. Additionally, it had many good online reviews. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the disappointments kept coming one after another. I suppose Travelzoo does not physically go visit these properties because had they visited this one, it would probably not have made the deal list.
This is a hotel full of loud families all with multiple children running all over the place. I couldn't believe coming to this place after a day of exploring. I paid extra for the ocean view room and it did have a "partial" view at best. What the view predominantly consisted of was the loud families running around all over the place. No privacy!!! The jacuzzi was so overly chlorinated. The "adult" pool had a couple children. Completely useless. I could hear the neighbors, paper thin walls. The faucet in the bathroom had like zero water pressure. Barely any water was coming out. This was a really disappointing experience from beginning to end. What was most disappointing was I could have stayed at the Marriott I usually stay at for like $50 less that night and gotten my loyalty points. Instead, I paid more for this. It was not a pleasant experience at all.

Because of the incredible assistance provided by TravelZoo’s staff, we will continue to use your service; however, I would not recommend the Seacrest Hotel to anyone. Although I did have the chance to address my grievances with someone who appeared to be a supervisor, and she did take note of the following discussion points, I’m still not certain if anything will change with that hotel in the future, unless there is an ownership change.

>Their checkin staff were clearly not educated or knowledgeable about hotel service and were unaware of TravelZoo’s agreement. The room had multiple maintenance issues (sink did not drain and had low water pressure, the shower’s water pressure dropped to a dribble after approx 3 minutes, the bed mattress sink in the middle and was quite uncomfortable.). In addition, the hall carpets were old, tattered and filthy, the “breakfast” was cheap and unhealthy (fake scrambled eggs, rotten bananas, etc.).

This hotel is obviously well run. No issues or suggestions for improvement. The promised continental breakfast was more than expected and the free wine was good! At breakfast, the server was concerned about my wife who was distressed over an issue that is not long term serious. I am so grateful for such beautiful and caring people. Breakfast out by the ocean was wonderful as was the Pismo experience. We dined at Ada's which was a revelation.

Maybe putting families were other families are staying throughout the floor levels. We were on 3rd floor and above on the 4th floor was a family with 3 small children. You could hear the foot pounding of the 3 kids running across their floor from our room. Front desk tried to accommodate us by changing rooms. Just fruit for thought.

We had an amazing time at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and always visible around the property. The travelzoo special included a free upgrade to an ocean view and the SeaCrest delivered! The room was awesome, and the balcony allowed us to watch the sunset right outside the room. There was plenty of items to choose from for breakfast and enough room outside on the patio. We were able to sit around a firepit...which was great because it was quite chilly outside.

We loved our partial ocean view room with balcony. The hotel is just minutes from town where you can find plenty of choices of restaurants. The hotel has a nice pool area and walkways with chairs to enjoy the view of the ocean.

It was a delightful experience. We loved the beach access. The room was very pleasant with a balcony and ocean view. The breakfast was very nice with outdoor seating and heating. It definitely had the feel of being at a resort. We will definitely return.

Amazing! Great service and beautiful rooms and grounds. It almost feels like a resort in Hawaii or somewhere tropical. They offered so many extras and special touches - bike rentals on site, adults-only areas, lawn games for kids, QR codes for having snacks or drinks delivered to you poolside or anywhere else, fire pits and comfortable furniture everywhere, a heated rooftop terrace with fire pits, a solid breakfast included in the cost of the stay, and fresh-baked cookies every evening! HIghly recommended, and I hope to go back soon!

This property, which appears to initially have been a motel, has been updated very nicely and is in a terrific location. We were upgraded to a "deluxe" ocean view room, which placed us in their north tower nearer to the shore. We left our sliders open at night to hear the crashing waves. It was so soothing. Of course, the sunsets were amazing.
The one negative is the hotel has no real lobby, bar or restaurant, although there is a restaurant/bar adjacent to the property. There is limited inside seating for eating your breakfast. It was too cold to sit outside in January. But, the breakfast set-up was meh, so we ended up only getting coffee after the first day.

Great location. Pool was wonderful. Our only complaint was the low water pressure at the bathroom sink faucet. Had to use the bathtub faucet to was hands. Maintenance came within minutes of our request to check it, but they said it is the same in all the rooms due to a local water saving ordinance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from an exceptional check-in experience with Silvia to the end. The location is stunning with lots of cozy fire pit areas to hang out and an adult jacuzzi area. Little touches like fresh cookies in the lobby with hot coffee and tea each afternoon. Breakfast was very good. Views are amazing. We will definitely be back!

The SeaCrest Hotel is an excellent location. My wife and I immediately felt relaxed when we walked into the courtyard and saw the ocean view. The front desk staff was super staff. Ximena handled my check in with a smile and gave us thorough instructions. Even the front desk staff person helped me open a wine bottle that I was struggling with. Now that’s what I call customer service. The breakfast was great. We enjoyed eating next to the fire pit. Our room was perfect and comfortable. Overall, the grounds are beautiful and we have been raving about it to family members and friends. We cannot wait to return.

I cannot compliment the staff members enough. From walking up to the front counter, the clerks were so friendly and helpful until the very end when we left the hotel. The maintenance staff was friendly and very capable dealing with a small problem that I had (a small mirror fell between the patio sliding doors requiring their assistance to extract it in order to close the door). We enjoyed the beautiful ocean view; it was a wonderful experience for us and I hope we receive future invitations to stay at this location and hopefully at the great price I received from you.

We enjoyed our stay. We had an ocean front room with a balcony where we had breakfast each morning. We used the adult only hot tub, the access to the beach was great. Amenities were nice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were always available. Breakfast was good and cookies in the afternoon was an added touch. We hiked the Pismo Preserve which was close by. Walking to restaurants was also close. Workers were friendly.

Check in was not a good experience. We arrived about 2:30 which was early and were told they would call when our room was ready. We never received a call and went back about 4:30. They had no notes on having been told we would get a 4th floor room. We were given a 2nd floor room in the South Tower. We went to check out the room and found luggage in the room, thankfully no one was there. We turned around and went back to check out. They apologized and gave us room 220 which was much more than we hoped for. Although this room had some repairs that were needed. Such as the inside security lock would not engage, the toilet paper holder was loose, and the cover for the shower head was bent. We did not complain then because we were happy to have the nice balcony with the ocean view. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

The SeaCrest is located in Pismo Beach on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The Travelzoo deal included an upgrade to a deluxe oceanview king, if available. It was. The view was fantastic. This deal included breakfast and a $10 per day allowance for room service. The Travelzoo rate was $149! We decided to stay an extra day, and SeaCrest honored the Travelzoo price and perks in the same room. Now about the human side. SeaCrest personnel are friendly and helpful. We felt welcome from the moment we checked in until the day we left. If you're planning a trip to Pismo Beach, SeaCrest is definitely the way to go.

Everything was wonderful, except housekeeping was understaffed. We wanted to give housekeeping services a break after the first night, so didnt ask for services. We called for housekeeping services mid-morning after the second night, and were told there were no more slots available and we needed to ask for anything we needed at the front desk, including new trash bags, etc. The need to call early due to limited services was not communicated at check in or on the written material. That was disappointing for a 3 night stay and resulted in living with towels in the floor, over flowing trash cans, etc. A small thing, but didn't reflect a "can do" orientation in the hospitality industry.

At check in they tried to upcharge us $200 for our dog- saying that they didn’t have any dog friendly rooms left so the one they put us in had a greater charge( normal would be $100 for pet). Be careful though when coming back inside the room if you have a balcony though - door jamb on the bottom is a little high with a space underneath and can catch your toes and trip you. The setting is fantastic. The views and sunsets to remember. Wonderful beach walk if you can do stairs. No restaurant, but one in the parking area. TravelZoo provided a bottle of wine which is a nice touch as there isn't a bar. Breakfast buffet is complete. Very beautiful stay.

Everything about our stay was great. The room was very nice but would have been better if we had been upgraded to a view room. The location is fabulous, grounds are beautiful with nice amenities and a good breakfast selection. Joey, Bernie and Alicia made our stay even nicer with their outstanding customer service. A delightful two days during our 3 week road trip. We would book here again. We hope Travelzoo will have future offerings here.

I only stayed 1 night and that certainly wasn't enough. Such an incredible view and pools and fire rings. The continental breakfast was nice and it goes till 10 am. !!!

Pros, common area, plenty of outdoor seating, multiple fire pits and hot tubs. Pretty quiet. Cons, limited television, outdated bathrooms, no fitness center, mediocre breakfast.

Check in was quick. Our room was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The hotel has nice outdoor amenities, including a rooftop deck, pools and fire pits. The complimentary breakfast was good.

It is absolutely gorgeious! I think there is a lot to do there. Food service from the restaurant was wonderful. Staff was friendly. We would recommend to anyone and plan to go there again. Hope to bring a Golf Group there next year.

I love the fire pits all around and seating setup. Also that you heat the pool! Your breakfast was good and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful time. The grounds are absolutely beautiful right on the ocean. The rooms are very basic but clean and nice. When I looked at the hotels website however it was only $10 cheaper to book through Travelzoo so I didn't see it as very much of a deal.

We had a great time. Probably because it was a weekday there were just a few people so we had the place almost to ourselves. The staff there takes great care of the ground scape and everything feels so clean. The front desk personnel were so accommodating and nice.

Upon on arrival at check in we asked the clerk if there was an upgrade available. The young lady was kind and searched inventory and found an ocean view room.
She explained it was a family room and if we were ok with it. We were and the room was great. Loved everything and everyone on the staff we came in contact with.

Had a wonderful stay at the SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel in Pismo Beach.
Great location to a cute little town and a beautiful drive (1 hour) to the Hearst Castle.
The staff was friendly and nice.
Great view of the ocean and a nice outdoor lawn space overlooking the ocean.

We really enjoyed our vacation. This is not our first visit there so when we saw the discounted rates we couldn't past it up. We love how kid friendly the hotel is and all of the amenities they have like multiple BBQ area, multiple firepit areas. Breakfast is a hot cooked meal which was awesome and delicious. The only disadvantage is the entrance to the beach. There is A LOT of stairs.

Overall I had a very nice stay and would stay again. However, after traveling for 4 hours, arriving at 5:20 PM I was told my room was not ready and would not be ready for another 30-40 minutes. This was somewhat frustrating.

I have to tell you that just about everywhere I travel now, as a single older woman, I get much less service than the couples do. It's kind of heart-breaking. Older women ARE invisible...unless they cause a fuss, which NO ONE wants to do....
This place was better than most in this regard.
Aside from that, what a great deal it is coming to the California Coast in the off season! It's chilly, but warm once the sun comes out, and nothing is crowded. I flew to Hawaii for such vacations with my family, but had I known about this spot.... GORGEOUS grounds. Pay extra for a room with a view: it's only $20 extra and so, so worth it. All rooms have lanais, and that is a huge benefit as well. FULL complementary breakfast every day. Free yoga every morning. Free cookies in the afternoon. Coffee and tea all day. Lots of fire pits, three spas (one for adults only), a pool. Lots and lots of seating outside in the sights and sounds of the ocean and the impeccably maintained grounds. Oh, and a barbeque area. Onsite brewpub and restaurant. Stairway down to the very long beach, 15-minute walk to the Pismo pier and eateries and shops. 5 minutes to the Monarch Butterfly Grove; 15 to Morro Bay.
The only negative is that this is RIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY, so the whooshing of cars battles with the crashing of the waves.

Staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. Everyone, even the groundskeepers greeted people.

The Blast and Brew next door provided a convenient and good choice for dinner. Their Hawaiian pizza was outstanding.

Overall beautiful location and helpful staff. Really enjoyed the outdoor seating areas and gas fire pits. The original room had a funny smell and areas of the property had a smell similar to a septic issue.
