The lobby and pool area were pretty. The gift store was nice. The concierge gave us ideas of where to eat off the hotel property. The room was a good size.
Other Comments
We arrived a couple hours early and checked in. They charged us $25 extra to check in early. That seemed odd. The dinner restaurants were not open because it was not high season. They lack attention to detail. The side of our external/balcony door had over a quarter inch opening to the outside where leaves and cold air could come in. When the leaves would come in and be on the floor, no one cleaned that up the next day. The towels were not soft. There was no business center to print off boarding passes. There was no water in the rooms or at check-in (which they said they would provide). It was not a bad hotel, but they really lacked details that would make a A rated hotel.

Stayed here for Christmas. Excellent location. Extremely safe for a single woman. Very pet friendly. Pool was amazing. Beach access right out the door. Can’t wait to go back!

We’ve stayed at a lot places on HHI over the years. For the rate we secured with TravelZoo, this was worth it compared to others on the Island.

The turtles in the turtle pond should be able to sun themselves. I would suggest putting large flat rocks in the center of the pond for them to climb on to. That way they would be safe from little hands and be able to get some sun.
