Overview

Visit Cape Cod’s northernmost town and one of America’s top five favorite beach towns as noted by Travel + Leisure readers. A stay at the chic Harbor Hotel in Provincetown, just two hours from Boston, provides "a colorful contrast to the otherwise seersuckered Cape Cod" (Travel + Leisure).

Offering spectacular views of the bay, the property’s secluded grounds are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown P-town, yet only a five-minute drive away. Guests can make the most of the views by lounging around the hotel’s unique outdoor fire pit, landscaped with sand to give the area a cool, relaxed, beach-like feel.

Serving fresh food and libations, the vivacious Whaler Lounge is the place to be in the evening, filled with locals and hotel guests.

Retreat to bright and spacious rooms "enlivened with vibrant colors" (Frommer’s). Splashes of blue and green make the modern, white rooms pop, and all rooms conveniently come with free Wi-Fi.

the furnishings are nice and the pool might have been nice if it weren't for the rain

The breakfast buffet wasn't very healthy; no fresh fruit, only white sliced bread for toasting, dime-a-dozen mini muffins, no oatmeal or yogurt or anything really healthy. We wanted to use the $20 food credit for breakfast, but changed our mind upon seeing what was available at the buffet and we did not have the option to order anything off the menu as we thought we might. Then the woman at the front desk was a little snooty and inflexible about our using the food credit for anything else because, as she said, "we waited until the last minute."

Nice looking hotel/rooms, clean, proximity to beach.
Other Comments
The walls were very thin so it was hard to sleep due to noise. Additionally when I checked in I was not informed of the $20 food/drink credit and staff did not provice print out or any information on it, how/where to use, etc. Also was not oriented to the hotel upon arrival (what time was the pool open, onsite restaurant info).

rooms and shower were clean quiet and away from downtown
Other Comments
renovations to upgrade hotel but still quite old. Location to downtown is rather far but there is a bus for $2 each way staff very unwilling to give a late checkout and was only asking for 1 hour if that. cheap mattresses waitress completely messed up our breakfast order and nothing was done about it (this was after one of the staff members told us there was a buffet saturday morning which was not the case)

Liked the dining room, breakfast was really good.
Other Comments
The fact that it was not mentioned by tzoo, that a traditional room was in the back building which was rather run down. Our reservation got entered in as price line instead of tzoo so they had to search for pur dining credit. We ended up paying $40 more to move to the nicer building rather than have maintenance fix both our screen door and sliding door, so it didn't feel like much of a deal at that point.
