Nice beach views from room and brand new pool. Pool was heated and shaded from the sun in the mornings by the shadow of the hotel. Great for kids!

View was insane. Place could use a few upgrades but no closings. Nicer pillows and the doors were loud and hard to shut all the way without slamming to make sure they were locked. But all in all, staff was great place was clean and we would def come back. Can’t beat the view if the ocean.

It wasn't busy so they let us check in early. Because it was a birthday trip they upgraded our room. Staff was very friendly and they always greeted us by name. Nice room. Not in the hub of things, but plenty of "walkable" choices. We enjoyed the pool.

First of all, I would like to thank Travelzoo for their polite, efficient phone service in obtaining an additional night to our reservation, when the Travelzoo site said the Sonesta was sold out for that night. Travelzoo contacted the Sonesta Hotel for us and was able to reserve the extra night at the same rate, even though it was a weekend night. Thank you, Travelzoo! It pays to be a member!

The Sonesta is beautifully maintained, and our room was very clean. We were upgraded at check-in (possibly due to being a Travelzoo member) and were given a front, ocean-view room with the best view of the ocean and the beach via floor to ceiling windows.
My only quibble was that a few things were not replaced the first and subsequent nights - the shampoo and shower body wash and the coffee and cream for the Keurig machine. However, when it was brought to the front desk's attention, they were replaced quickly. We loved our stay!

We had a wonderful experience! The location was amazing, the room was clean, except the shower, which I advised the staff. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, it was too busy and took forever to get served, however the hotel took care of that. They were very accommodating and kind and I would return if I ever get a chance. I do wish they had self parking though, we kept forgetting things in our car and felt bad having to ask the Valet to help us. Our overall experience was fantastic and I am thrilled with the deal we got, thanks to travel zoo!

Upon arrival, I immediately discovered the toilet was not functioning in my room. After reporting the issue, I returned hours later to find the toilet disassembled and running, bath towels left dirtied, and no communication regarding the repair status. Only after following up with the front desk was I informed the issue could not be resolved and that I would need to change rooms.
I was then reassigned to room 1201. I appreciate the staff providing an upgrade and breakfast vouchers to offset the inconvenience of repacking and moving rooms. However, numerous additional issues arose: the refrigerator was warm and required maintenance; after it was repaired, it apparently overcooled and froze several of my food items solid, which I had to discard. The following day, housekeeping did not service my room at all, and the television required another maintenance visit (the third!) to work due to a signal problem. I also experienced a frequently running toilet and inconsistent shower water pressure throughout my stay.
The array of poor experiences I had were compounded by my broader experience with service staff. During each of my 3 meals at the Steelpan (the hotel restaurant), wait staff wholly failed to come by my table other than to take my order and deliver my meal. And I was awakened by an early morning housekeeping knock (prior to 9:00 a.m) on my third day.
Taken together, these repeated issues substantially disrupted my stay and did not reflect the level of quality represented at booking.
