We absolutely love staying at the Westin on the Riverwalk. Staff is ALWAYS accommodating and room and bathroom was clean just as we expected.

Wonderful location on the beautiful Riverwalk and close to attractions.

Booked through Travelzoo, my husband and I celebrated a weekend anniversary at this beautiful, centrally located hotel on the Riverwalk. Our room was 541 with a view of the Tower Life Building. It was spacious with a very comfortable king-size bed, a large marble bathroom, and a small balcony overlooking the Riverwalk where we could watch the boats pass by. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere as the hotel is close to all the wonderful restaurants, the Alamo, the Go Rio boat launch, and the Briscoe Western Museum. The Riverwalk can be reached by taking the stairs or elevator directly from the hotel. Brunch in the hotel restaurant, Zocca, was delicious, and specialty coffees and pastries are available for purchase in the hotel kiosk. The outdoor swimming pool on the 4th floor is fantastic, as it was very hot and muggy (95 degrees +) while we visited. There are lounge chairs and a poolside bar. The waiter at the pool kindly handed out bottles of water to everyone. The staff left sparkling wine and strawberries in our room on our actual anniversary, which was a very sweet touch. This is an excellent choice for a hotel stay when visiting San Antonio and we would definitely return. Don’t forget to become a Bonvoy member!

Location and general interior design

The vallet service could not retrieve my car within 45 minutes causing us to abandon using our car. There were no towels at the pool even though we call twice about the issue. There was a drunk at the pool because the bar was over serving and the police were called resulting in 6 officers hanging out at the pool for an hour. The bathroom door for out room was wrapped and didn't open more than half way making it difficult to use the toilet. The manager on duty could care less about anything. The bell go was absent every time I needed assistance..... To many service and experience issues

The hotel is lovely. You are located in an ideal location. I am looking forward to my next visit with Westin.

It was winderful

The location is okay but the parking is horrendous.

The room needs updating. Dingy and smelled of must maybe because of the outside humidity, not sure. Parking is ridiculous,$50 to $60 a day with no in out privileges. They don’t tell you there is an outside lot right across the street for $25 for 24 hours. Shower stall was nice but no matter how you turned the shower spray head you would still have water on the outside tile. No in room safe. Not up to our standards for $175 a night for a Marriot/Westin. I asked the desk clerk to see if we could change the room after seeing it and she told me they had 500 checkouts and would notify me by phone later when something opened up but she never called me. I can tell she was irritated on the request with her curtness.
