Had to use the fright elevation, room was 80 degrees when we arrived (completely turned off as were the hallways). and took hours to cool down. Air conditioning was incredibly noisy.

My wife and I had two beverages at lounge and though they would be taken of invoice and at end of stay but it was not. We really enjoyed everything about the Stanford Court San Francisco, except for the service after. I left something in the room and would like to pay to have it shipped. I have left 3 messages asking to be called back. I've spoken with the front desk 4 times and they say they can't do anything, but instead send me to leave a voice message (I think it's with housekeeping but I don't know.) I'm pretty disappointed that there is nobody I can speak with to try to see if they may have found my item. I"m still waiting for a call back and feel like that is not professional for a Marriott.

We really enjoyed the hotel with the rate from Travel Zoo. The valet parking is steep at $75 a day really making the vacation stay more expensive and misleading. The hotel location was perfect. We walked and walked (7 miles) to many of the neighborhoods.

The Staff was very nice especially the Manager who assisted us with restaurant reservations. The only issue is that their elevators are getting updated so the length of time to wait for the elevators were long. The option the hotel gave us was to take the service elevators.
The fitness center was very nice and clean. The bar/lounge staff were very nice as well as the housekeeping staff.

Only negatives would be the elevator has a mind of its own. There are 3 elevators but only 1 appeared to be in working order. This caused delays and forced us to take the stairs at times. Additionally, the elevator stopped at floors that did not appear to be requested by anyone. For example, we were on floor 3 and it took us to 2 then 8 before sending us to floor.

The first night we had a rather aloof staff check us in and say we wouldn’t get charged the facility fee if we didn’t use any of the facilities. (The travelzoo deal included NO fees, so we uncomfortably had to ask about that at the desk. We also had to call the restaurant asking about the included welcome drinks and they said we should’ve received a voucher at check-in, which we did not). The first night the room we were in sounded to be right below an extremely loud laundry facility or machinery room. The next night they changed our room. Only 1 of the 3 elevators were working so we had to use the service elevators most of the time. When we asked if we could get a couple of wine glasses to the room, they said they don’t have room service and to ask at the restaurant. When we asked them, the staff said they don’t let guests use the glassware for the rooms.

The location and ambience was great but the reason I would not recommend or go back was because our 7th floor room was really loud. First, it was the general traffic noise - it was loud enough that we thought the windows were open when they were not, and second, on Sunday night/Monday morning we heard loud bangs starting at around 4 a.m. and continuing periodically. We were facing west and they must have been coming from the loading dock in the alley below us. I couldn't sleep through all the noise with earplugs in.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. Bobby greeted us warmly at check-in, and Ray handled our check-in process with ease. Both were professional, personable, and really good at what they do.
The hotel itself had a very cozy, homey vibe, which made it feel both relaxing and familiar, even though this was my first time in San Francisco. I really appreciated that sense of comfort—it's rare to find a place that feels like home on your travels. I'd definitely return to both the hotel and the city.

This was the second time using this TZ deal, as we loved it so much the first time. We had an amazing corner room on the 8th floor. All of the staff we encountered were truly amazing and went out of their way to help us. Even though they are working on the main elevators, they allow you to use the service elevator, which was actually more convenient for us!

If you Uber to the hotel, no sweat, otherwise ready to sweat. The top of the hill is no joke if you don’t pace yourself, but then the view nearby is just as breathtaking. Everyone who experienced the unavailable elevators should have been compensated for the inconvenience as it was not an isolated problem .
