The hotel had great atmosphere, as it was recently renovated to a nice clean modern style. I was traveling with my son and his wife for a weekend in NYC. Our only issue was that we had booked a two queen room but at check-in we discovered they gave us a single queen room. The front desk informed us that all of their Travelzoo reservations which were booked as double queen rooms were coming through as single queen rooms. Luckily, they were not fully booked, so they gave us a second room at no charge. We were very pleased with this accommodation, but if the hotel had been full, we would have had to relocate to a new hotel.

The blinds were stuck open in my room. Also I kept pressing the arrow on the thermostat to warn up my room but nothing happened. I had to call someone to come and tell me to just shut it off. He also confirmed that the blinds were stuck.
Other than that, it was a very nice experience with great staff members.

Doormen were all great, especially Ernest who is a big Knicks fan. Late afternoon and evening desk staff were also very friendly and helpful. Room was SPOTLESS and the housekeeping woman from Ecuador on 7 was so very nice and friendly. It was easy to see she really took ownership of her floor. Fine bed and pillows - and towels.

There was an issue during check in but it was resolved very quickly. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. The room is great. It's not too big...but if you're really only there to sleep and get ready, it's the perfect size. The bathroom is a bit small - at least in our room it was. We had a second room that was ADA accessible and that was very well designed.

Providing us water when we arrived was a nice touch but, when asked on the second day for a bottle of water, I was told they are only available at check-in. That seems a little cheap on their part.

Great stay at the Kimpton. Location is great. Beds are very comfortable , staff is very welcoming and accommodating ,room is clean. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

My only gripe was that they did not have a coffee maker in the room
