Beautiful new hotel, spacious rooms with a nice bathroom and great towels. Great backyard area with tables and lounging chairs. Great location to all the little surrounding towns and close to vineyards and easy access to main roads. A little snafu about the fire pits - one night we asked to turn them on and a staff member passed the duty onto the busy bartender who forgot; the next night the same staff member reluctantly turned them on but noted the high fuel prices. Nothing horrible just off-putting to the guest experience.

This deal from Travelzoo appeared right when we were planning a weekend in Paso Robles. It's a quick 7 min drive to downtown Paso, and the hotel is only a few blocks off the freeway. Nice large rooms and bathroom, very clean, with great blackout curtains. My only suggestion is that the lighting throughout the room and bathroom is very subdued, making it hard to apply makeup. Also, restaurant prices were a bit high; much less expensive grabbing coffee and breakfast at a local diner.

We had a great experience- but we weee charged two different amounts for our one night stay. One charge of $159.59 (which the hotel explained $50 will be credited back to us) and another charge for $104.70- which was possibly from Travelzoo! Can we be reimbursed for this? We did the $99/night on a weekday and looks like we were charged twice.

When I asked the front desk some questions about wineries for sunset she didn’t have an answer. It would be nice to have a list or suggestions of surrounding places or a little more knowledge. Not a deal breaker at all, I would definately come back. I felt very safe as a solo traveler.

Please, please do something about the coffee situation. One small Nespresso machine in room is not sufficient. A large coffee machine in the foyer would make a huge, very welcome addition.

Travel Zoo said a bottle of wine was included, but hotel said only Sun thru thur, same with happy hour, only sunday thru thur , the manager honored the bottle of wine offer but only after a discussion. Location is great and plenty of parking. Interestingly I asked for a receipt and was told they were out of paper, so only an email could be sent.

The location and overall hotel decor, was new and modern which was a draw for me when I booked it.
With the experience that we had and it not being a king and just the lack of them being concerned about all the noise, I would expect to get compensated in some form of a refund at least half if not full and I’m still waiting for my $50 credit back on my credit card. Can you help me with this? I’ve always been very pleased with travels in an overall I am I continue to be a faithful advocate and promoter of Travelzoo.

First we booked a King. They confirmed the King. I confirmed the reservation a couple days prior and a couple weeks prior turned out when we got there. They had a hard time finding my reservation and put us in a room that wasn’t a king. They insisted it was, but I measured it and actually was a queen. They also do not have microwaves. They don’t tell you about it so any of the nice restaurants we went to when we brought the food back. We’re not able to enjoy the leftovers because they don’t have a microwave in the room. They also tried to charge me $100 more than my travel certificate. I had to prove that to them when I had in my phone and on my printed out certificate so instead, they charged me an extra $50 for a deposit which now I have to wait a week to get back and probably the worst thing is the room above us had stomping and pounding all hours of the night and even one afternoon and when I called them at the front desk, they insisted all it was nothing, probably just a little housekeeping. It kept us up every night. They did nothing about it.

Impressed with the room size and design, comfy beds although I did get hot overnight due to the mattress topper. Paper coffee cups too tall for the in room coffee machines. Shower was awesome. Odd that I had to go to the bar to get ice on the first floor. Great stay option while in the Paso Robles area! A little free continental breakfast would have been a nice addition.

Overall, a nice spot to overnight along hwy 101. The ADA-king room was spacious and well appointed. Bar/lounge staff were accommodating and pleasant. Location is excellent, just off hwy 101.
Bed mattress could have been better. For a hotel that’s only been open 7mos, the mattress seemed very worn and flat. Also, the walls are very thin, so I could hear all my neighbors. Also, when the person above me flushed their toilet, it sounded like loud water gushing behind the wall of my bathroom (loud enough to wake me up during the night).
For a $99 TZoo deal, this place delivered what I was after, which was a simple, comfortable and convenient overnight layover.

We selected this hotel to break up our drive from Nor Cal to SoCal. The hotel was not very busy yet we were placed in the furthest room from the elevators on the third floor.
There were no glasses in the bathroom - just two to go coffee cups next to the coffee maker. When I asked at the desk about glasses, first I was told they were not typically provided. Then she said she would look for some and send them to the room. That worked.
It was uncomfortably cold throughout the hotel including in the room. Setting a higher temperature was not very intuitive and took several tries.
The restaurant staff was friendly. Some explanation about paying the dinner bill by scanning the QR code would have been appreciated. The chicken in the Ceasar salad was boney/gristley and at breakfast they were out of salsa for the breakfast burrito. The bar manager did remove the extra charge for chicken from our bill.
We got the impression the hotel is fairly new and is working out the kinks. There is work to be done.

Great time for the family to visit this new location. It was a beautiful time of year so the area made for a great background. Depending on what you are doing in the area, you may have to drive/ ride share to get there . We found that the ride share service in that area on a Sunday night was limited in case you have an alternative. Rooms were nice. Housekeeping was very helpful.

I understand the focus on wine in the area, but having additional craft beer options available at check in instead of wine and/or have them available for purchase. Front desk staff was confused about the wine at check in for the promotion. It was resolved by the manager.

I loved the room size, and the super clean bathroom and shower pressure. We did not like your "teckie" heating system which we never got to the right temperature. Plus, having to wait 45 minutes or more to have the heat come on was really annoying. By the time we were in bed and sleeping, the heat was way too high and we couldn't get it to come down. Had to sleep on top of the bedding instead of under your wonderful comforter. I think you need an easier heating & cooling system. Also, my boyfriend wanted regular coffee, but your in room coffee makers only make expresso. Please change and have the option of regular coffee in the in room maker. Thank you!
