The property is a converted motel, and the public areas (lobby, bar, outdoor patio) are gorgeously modernized and renovated. We had a room with a king bed, desk, small sitting area, spacious bathroom, and an armoire with closet space and a mini fridge that was perfect for our needs. Pros: everything was clean, free parking directly across from the room, pet-friendly environment, central location to surrounding tourist attractions, and well-stocked bar. Cons: staff seemed new, TravelZoo dining credit was not honored until I called days after we checked out despite me asking about it multiple times during my stay, not within easy walking distance of local businesses since the property is on a main road, room is on the small side.
Other Comments
As mentioned, I had a difficult time getting staff to acknowledge or honor the dining credit that was part of the TravelZoo reservation. I asked about it several times and was assured that it would be taken care of, but when I checked out, the staff member knew nothing about it and there was no manager onsite. She said a manager would call later, which never happened, and I had to call the property after noting on my credit card statement that the credit wasn't applied. If a property is going to offer a credit or extra with TravelZoo, it should be prepared to honor it without complications.

What a modern and tasteful renovation of a motor lodge, with more personality and style than your typical hotel stay! The beautiful club room is a comfortable hang-out space, inside and outdoors. A surprising gem!
Other Comments
No elevators in the building, so request a ground floor room if you're not able to lug bags up one flight of stairs.

On a cold weekend, lots of cold air seeped through the door, room was dark even during mid day. Rooms on the smaller side, showed a bit of wear and tear. View was lovely, close to lots of sites and events, parking was easy. Staff a bit stressed when we arrived, but warmed up during our stay.
