Room lacked sufficient lighting for reading. I couldn't get TV to work. Great service at dinner.

Lovely inviting common areas. Exceptional outdoor seating with fire pit. Bar and small restaurant. Small but elegant menu for breakfast and dinner.
Room was very clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Coffee available in club room in morning as well as lemon water and mint iced tea all day-so refreshing! This lodge was worth the trip! Jeff and staff were extremely friendly.

The common area looked new and was pleasant.

Rooms…They looked like they tried to upgrade from a Motel 6. Very sloppy work.
Out of all of my Travelzoo bookings this was the first that was disappointing.

The room was very nice, but the ambiance was lovely! Beautiful garden and outside seating. Breakfast was excellent. It was very quiet in spite of being off a fairly major road and there were plenty of guests.
Other Comments
Everything was great except the pillows which were super thick, so we found them pretty uncomfortable. This is where it would have come in handy to be one of those travelers who brings their own pillow with them! Otherwise, excellent stay, great value.

Would have been nice to have a reading light over the bed, and a waste basket in the bathroom.

Lovely stay. Great location. Room on back side of motel was very quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room. More lights needed in the room. Only had two small lamps.
Other Comments
Lovely stay. Great staff. More lights needed in rooms. Helpful if breakfast service began earlier than 8:30.
Thanks for the complimentary coffee and flavored water/tea.

The decor in the lobby/bar/restaurant and the outside patio was lovely; the staff worked very hard.
Other Comments
Room was not well lighted; floor was sticky; TV was screwed up and we had to get help to access channels and guide; "call the front desk if you need something immediately," but you only get an answering machine; restaurant and bar were staffed with just one person who was check-in clerk, bar tender, waitress, and bus-girl all at once; food service was slow because there was only one person in the kitchen; martini made with well gin was $18! etc.

Staff and room very nice. Setting convenient for area attractions.

Think of it as a very thoughtfully, comfortably, aesthetically pleasingly remodeled 2-story motel with a lobby bar and outdoor seating area. I'm waiting to hear back from property about charging my credit card when I did not overspend dining credit that was explicitly included in booking rate. Check out was automated, so did not know until departure.
