We arrived early and they gave us an estimated time when our room would be ready - and we received a phone call when it was. The room was clean and close to parking. The only downside was the small bathroom. The shower was only big enough for a single person - and you were always under the spray of water.
Other Comments
We asked where the beach access was and was told 2 blocks away. We found beach access and specially marked access parking next door.

The receptionist was very nice.

I was given the worst room on the property. It was next to the lobby, the stairs, and the freeway. The noise was unacceptable. It was the furthest away from the ocean. They complementary snacks were no brand items from a vending machine: potato chips and candy. Nothing special.

The room faced the freeway. No access to the beach. The bathroom was adequate but very small.
We arrived 30 minutes before the 4pm check in. We were told our room was ready but there was an additional $20.00 fee to get in.

The staff was wonderful at this property! The property is beautiful and well kept. The only issue that we had was the hardwood floors were very dirty and we had to wipe them down with a wet towel. I have pictures if it helps the property.

Tides Ocean View Inn located right off the freeway about a half mile(walkable) to the center of downtown Pismo Beach. The rooms were large larger than expected and extremely clean. There were a couple of fire pits, and grass areas. Dog are allowed and the lower level would be a good room to ask for. There was no direct route from the hotel to the beach, but One could still walk to the beach through another pathway. For location and cleanliness the hotel was well priced. I would stay there again.

It was a couple streets over from a street with beach access so that was nice to be able to get to the beach.

It is an updated motel so if you’re not a motel person, it is a turnoff. They did a pretty good job masking it, but old is old. It is right off Highway 101 so there is a lot of traffic noise. The shower was impossible to use as it was the smallest one I have seen. It leaked like crazy so I got to do housework after my shower.
