The walls are paper thin and the rooms are tiny. The hotel smells like fish when you walk in

While the hotel was super convenient the pervasive horrible odor in the hallway made my stay challenging

The price and the location couldn't be beat. It was within a couple of minutes to the Metro Station, plus being in the same location as The Dubliner was an added bonus. Be prepared for the valet price. That's the norm in D.C. It's the convenience. The customer service was very inconsistent. The valet was very personable, but the checkout process for all was a little different. Maybe they were just wanting you to leave. If you are looking for location and price, this is it. If you are wanting a large room with lots of amenities, you may want to try another location.
Other Comments
That being said, having housekeeping trying to unlock your door at 10 a.m. (when there is clearly a noon checkout) was pretty disappointing - especially when you clearly have a do not disturb sign on the door. I do not understand why this happens on occasion while traveling.

An old hotel made new again! Our stay checked a lot of boxes for us. Centrally located, coffee lounge upstairs, excellent restaurant and bar, the king size bed was very comfortable and the hotel even provided ear plugs incase the noise of DC was too loud.

Very helpful friendly staff. Great coffee station , far above usual standard, with variety drinks available. Coupons for free drink made visiting Dublander enticing. Once there it was an outstanding experience with great pub food at good value.
