Starting with the Valet Parking Attendant, on to checking in to the hotel, late afternoon at the pool, then to the 5pm Wine Reception, after dinner drinks at Bacci and then back to Bacci for breakfast in the morning. Service and Staff are exceptional! Our room was very comfortable, along with the included amenities. With all our activities in Savannah, I got an 8 hour sleep, which was a long time since I had such a good sleep. I highly recommend visiting Savannah and staying at the Kimpton Brice!

The hotel looked very nice and inviting upon arrival, but when you get in the elevator it smelled like wet dogs. The stairwell was dirty, and the rooms (2) were dirty as well. The first room had a part of the glass top table broken, the nightstand with a leather top was ratty, and the curtain had some sticky stuff on it. All very visible on entering the room, so I didn't understand why it had not been fixed prior to dedicating the room out. The second room wasn't much better. It had a stain in the chair that looked like someone sat and peed in it. Then there was so much dust that had to have been there for months on the table. And the room was a mixture of an updated headboard, and the other side of the room looked like someone bought in furniture from their grandma's basement. The hotel is pet friendly, but not necessarily people friendly. I have allergies to dog dander and found out that there aren't any rooms that dogs aren't allowed. There was dog hair on the sofas in the lobby. They charge a $225 incidental fee upon check-in. (I understand a fee but $225 is a bit much) This hotel is rated as a 4 Star Luxury hotel, that must have been the status when they first opened. It's average. The Hampton we stayed at near the airport was so much better!!!

Excellent location, wine reception, pool area. We looked out over the dumpsters, but the room was lovely and we just kept the drapes closed. There was some confusion on the credits that the Travelzoo package offered, and we are still waiting to see the final charge with the two credits and a reduced $20 destination fee, but it was a very nice package and delightful stay!

Our first visit to Kimpton Brice was great, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfect. It reminded me of European hotels. Further, the rooms are very spacious. My husband especially liked the fact that it was very dog friendly.

The only complaint is that it appeared that the hotel has to be reminded about the TravelZoo promotion, as I was charged full price until I mentioned it to staff - they immediately fixed it. It's just a good thing that I did not check out online, and that I noticed my bill was higher than expected.
On another note, they charge way too much for valet parking, at $49 a night (we did not use).

No coffee, tea maker in the room, no microwave. Walking is difficult for me, so it was difficult to have to walk down 2 corridors every morning to get my morning brew. What they don't tell you is that parking is FORTY NINE DOLLARS A NIGHT. That would eat up all the savings I got by using travelzoo. Decor was hideous, paintings are splotches of paint or weird faces. I will never go back or use a k.b. hotel again. Only 2 plugs in the whole room and one was by the sink. In this digital age, everyone needs accessible plugs for charging electronics. One over the bed light didn't work, though it was requested 3 x. I travelled with a friend and she feels the same way about the hotel.

Initially, the Travelzoo rates and perks were not reflected on our bills at checkout. It required some little effort at the front desk to get it rectified but staff were very helpful. My opinion is - shouldn't these details be correct in the FIRST place, or do I need to be wary of Travelzoo arrangements going forward?

Our 2-Queen room didn't really have enough drawer space. It also looked out directly onto a low roof containing only HVAC equipment. The lobby and courtyard are nice places to relax. The bar and restaurant aren't really as appealing as many of the multitude of places to experience in Savannah.

The hotel is amazing. It's in great condition. The staff are all super nice and super attentive but Don't really seem to know what they're doing. From not explaining that we could get free water at the front desk because of our reservation to asking the concierge a question and not getting an answer because they are just filling in. We also experienced issues with staff and either other staff members not in uniform or just friends blocking the entrance several times.

Be aware that the walls are thin and you will hear lots of road noise and you will hear lots of people in the halls and it's loud most of the night so if you're a light sleeper take this into consideration. The location is absolutely perfect whether you're looking for something historic or to have fun on the Riverwalk this is where you want to be if you can.

Love all the extras the hotels provides, esp water, happy hour and bikes. Negatives; The guy at the bar was not friendly, we ordered room service for breakfast, which took awhile and was not hot, did not have salt and the order was wrong. The price we were given on Travelzoo that we were to pay was not correct and did not seem to include all the taxes (or at least that was what I could figure) and was $40-50 more which was frustrating.

We had a nice stay. We were in town for graduation. The location was excellent. The valet parking was pricey so we used street parking. The room could have been cleaner. There was blood on the wallpaper of the bathroom. On top of the armoire were plastic wrappers and a bowl of dog food from prior occupants. We had no issues with noise. The bed seemed broken as it made loud noises with any movement. Staff was superb. I wish the room had a coffee maker. I did get coffee in the lobby each day without any issues. The shower was great. Excellent pressure. Good water temperature. The overall hotel could use a refresh. The carpet in the halls was near end of life. The windows in the courtyard were rotten. Despite the constructive criticism, I really like the hotel.

1. The room I was originally places in was dirty, the AC was not functional, it was directly by an elevator and staircase, there was no luggage rack, robe or slippers, there were dirty marks on the top of the duvet, and there was a moldy substance on the ceiling of the bathroom.
EVERYONE THERE has a dog and the owners do r always control them. Additionally, there is CONSTANT barking both day and night. Halfway through our stay, there was an “accident” in the halls where we had to pass through to the elevator. Finally, our bill was ~$200 MORE than what Travelzoo said it would be. We were told that it would be rectified at a later time and that it could not be done then because of the holiday. We shall see.

This deal caught my eye initially because of the pet friendly offer; no pet fee. Upon checking out the property, they welcome pets openly. The price ($169 ngt.) was a great price too. The deal just kept going with welcome drinks, reduced destination fee and $20 F & B credit. Check in was easy. We learned that they had a complimentary wine bar from 5-6pm each weekday evening and free lobby coffee from 6-10am. We quickly encountered other dogs on property. We passed the beautiful courtyard and the pool area on the way to our room on the far end of the hotel away from the busy lobby. This was great for our dog that has separation anxiety and reacts to noises in a destructive way.
My wife loved the bright lights around the bathroom mirror for applying make up. There is a beautiful park behind the property and one across Bay Street for dog walking.
Now let's talk parking. Valet parking is available through the contracted parking service for $49 nightly. Travelzoo should work with them to get a discounted price. We stayed 3 nights. That would be $150. DON'T DO IT. We arrived in town at 4pm and went directly to the Savannah City parking service center (100 E. Bryan St.) and purchased a 24 hour street parking pass for $15. It allows you to park in ANY paid parking street space (and they are everywhere) rather than scanning a QR code all over town. The next day I went back and purchased a 48 hour street parking pass for $24. For the 3 days, I paid $39 TOTAL and parked right next to the hotel on the street. You do have to pay attention to the street sweeping schedule for EACH street. You don't want to park overnight in a street sweeping zone and risk a ticket.

The room's layout was awkward and the bathroom was very small. The description led us to believe it had a nice view of the adjacent park, but the room was directly on a very noisy street. While the room appeared to be clean, it felt damp and smelled musty. The light switches didn't work.

On a previous visit when the hotel first opened as "The Brice" it must have had different owners because it was gorgeous with stunning yet quirky decor and over-the-top service. Now it's a ho-hum blah hotel that doesn't represent Savannah style at all, with below-average service. The room was dirty; I asked for a shower curtain to be replaced because the one in the room was chewed up on the bottom (dog? wheelchair? zombie? we'll never know what chewed it) plus had several stains. It was never replaced. The hotel is dog-friendly, which is great, but I don't think they care about cleaning up much between guests. When I was checking out the staff member reluctantly gave me an itemized receipt so that I could verify I got all the package discounts; I didn't, she corrected some, but it was taking too much time so I was basically left paying way more than I was supposed to.
