Avalon House beautifully renovated. Guest rooms with a queen size bed are much too small for an extended stay (5 nights). No seating or clothing storage (dressers) or chairs.

Beautiful property with great pools. Beach area is nice but not what I would consider a true beach. Location was key….on the quieter side of the island but still walkable to everything on Duval St.

Staff was very accommodating and responsive to text messages. Concierge recommended some GREAT food spots. Tranquility pool was wonderful for reading and relaxing.

The hotel is tired, dirty and needs a paint job. Feels and looks more like a motel. Not enough chairs at the main pool. Got an eye roll from the front desk worker when I asked a question. Daily resort fee had to be adjusted to the TravelZoo rate. Parking spots used for their storage.

Great Location. I did not realize the Duval Gardens was so not at the same location as rest of the resort. I was charged way more than the travelzoo quote and conformation quote from hotel and when I tried to explain it while checking in, no one could help me confirm how much I was actually going to get charged.

It was a great location but we had to change rooms due to a very musty smell. Our daughter's room had a few cockroaches and they sent an exterminator.
