Our second stay with travel zoo. A beautiful property. Pool/ spa area is spectacular. They had a fresh cooked breakfast last time. This stay it was a herbed frittata baked in a muffin pan. Clearly not enough herbs and real eggs.

This hotel was very nice and in a great location. The person checking me in was great and upgraded my room after I revealed that I was a Platinum Elite member. Our room was great as well with plenty of room and amenities. The free breakfast was good too. However, I hate to say that the cook didn't act very friendly, like he didn't want to be there. He also undercooked my second serving of pancake and I ended up throwing it away. Overall, we had a good time.

Overall is a good experience with minor things that could be just temporary issues..., i.e. understaffed for the breakfast service, hard to find a parking spot if you return to the hotel after 9 p.m. (especially on the weekend), inadequate sound proofing between connected rooms.
This hotel is in a great location, close to Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock. Beautiful views all around, but not from your room. You are within walking distance to many local restaurants some trailheads and a 5 mile drive to Sedona.

Daily provided breakfast left a lot to be desired. The staff was unorganized and not able to keep up with the demand for the number of people attending. Tables were not being cleaned after use and coffee, hot water, yogurt and fixings were not being restocked even after notifying the staff. Worst of all was human hair that I found in my eggs for breakfast. The long haired woman preparing the food wore no hair net. I complained and was laughingly told that food standards aren't the same as in California! Seriously? The FDA would think otherwise and I will contact them.

Once we were settled it was great. They were super busy and did not have hardly any staff working. For example, we checked in on a Sunday night and one person was working. She couldn't handle the volume of people checking in & phone calls on her own. She gave us a room that was open and was in the middle of being refurbished. The second room they gave us, already had a couple occupied in it. They were freaked out as were we. The third room was a charm but it was not what we booked. We were a family and originally supposed to have 2 queen beds. We now were given a king with a pullout sofa that was insanely uncomfortable. The room otherwise was spacious and nice. The bathroom and kitchen area was great for a family. The hotel was nice and had a great breakfast; again too many people and not enough staff so breakfast was a mess. I liked that they had coffee and flavored water stations full throughout the day for the entire stay. The location was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, they gave us a discount on top of the travelzoo for the room debacle. We would stay there again. They just need to get more staff to handle busy season.

Breakfast experience can be better though. Not enough staff to help turn over tables or to serve made-to-order items. Also, if the room is meant to sleep 4 people perhaps there should be 4 chairs in the room. We had to use a camping chair when we made dinner in the room.

1) The 2 queen room we got has a strong smell, likely from someone who cooked something there. The smell won't go away after opening the window after 1 hour. 2) The room is facing the pool, and the light outside is on all night. Unfortunately there is a gap at the top of the curtain and plenty of light leaked into the room during the middle of the night. You'd better to have your eye mask. 3) Toilet has some stains which won't flush away. Not sure what caused it. It's either not thoroughly cleaned or it needs to be replaced.

The hotel is modern and beautiful. The guest rooms, fitness center, and public areas are spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Visitors should be aware that the Element Sedona is not in Sedona, but rather in Oak Creek. During busy times in the afternoon, it can take at least half an hour to drive into the heart of Sedona. Also, the hotel gets crowded at breakfast, and the staff struggles to keep food and supplies refilled. But overall I enjoyed my stay.

Very nice fire pit outside near a beautiful pool and jacuzzi with all three amenities being used frequently during our stay. Gab the bartender friendly and personable. Breakfast staff nice and very busy trying to keep up with the guests eating breakfast for the three hours the area was open.

The hotel is only three years old. It appeared there were not enough staff to adequately clean and maintain the public areas and hotel rooms with any type of cleanliness standard. Our room was partially carpeted and had vinyl planks in the partial kitchen. I took a damp paper towel and wiped it across the vinyl plank and it was filthy when I turned it over and looked at it. The gym was spacious and had mid grade commercial equipment in it to include free weights and eight cardio machines. The floor was a nice rubberized material but it was filthy as well with not being swept or mopped with any routine cleaning. The bar was a very active and nice ambiance with a great bartender, Gab. The end tables, coffee tables and eating tables were sticky and dirty. One such end table next to the hallway leading near the gym had a metal clip on top of the table along with a hair and sticky substance on top of it when we arrived and the day we checked our. The floor in the public areas was in need of sweeping and mopping you could easily see it was dirty and sticky from substances being dripped and spelt on the floor. There was a disabled cook (very nice gal, doing her best) and one helper to run the breakfast service which was a madhouse with guests trying to get breakfast before embarking on their day. Items like forks, cups were not refilled as needed let alone tables being cleaned for the next guest. I know it’s hard to hire and retain good employees. This relatively new property needs more employees to adequately clean and maintain this hotel in my humble opinion. I’m a Bonvoy member even though I booked this stay with Travelzoo. I wouldn’t return to this property with Marriott Bonvoy or a Travelzoo offer since it’s generally not clean or maintained properly to a Marriott or Travelzoo standard. We had a floor lamp that had a permeant plug into the outlet that was bent and tweaked. It would not ply in deeper into the outlet nor would it pullout of the outlet. It looked looked an electrical hazard and whoever is cleaning the room or whoever is doing the quality control after the room is cleaned isn’t reporting this unsafe plug to maintenance for repair. The sink in the bathroom had barely a trickle of water coming out which was annoying when washing our hands or brushing our teeth.

This was our first visit to Sedona, AZ. The Element Sedona was very convenient and comfortable for us. We would have liked a second or third floor studio but the studio we had on the first floor was wonderful!

The hotel was wonderful, and the rooms were perfect! Outside areas and the fire pit were enjoyable! Complementary breakfast worked out well! The only thing I could say is, that’s the staff is really not very friendly, and the cleanliness of the common areas needs to be improved. Lobby restrooms were disgusting! All of the tables were not cleaned after breakfast. One lobby, couch had coffee stains all over it, which was not very appealing!

Short two day trip to Sedona. Our first time being there. Element was two to 15 miles from our target hiking trail heads which was very convenient. Room was decent sized with mini kitchenette that was a nice touch. Dining and breweries as close as a few hundred feet to 15 miles. Definitely enjoyed our first visit to Sedona and will likely come back.

Soulless hotel. Only interacted with one staff member over the two day stay. That was at check in when a very uninterested employee gave me my key card. Every other time we passed reception, there was no one there including at check out. Breakfast was poor (predominantly processed sugary foods) some brown bananas were the only ‘healthy’ choice. Poor coffee.
In the rooms, water pressure was low from the faucet. Air conditioning/heat was very noisy. For a brand new hotel, these things were surprising and disappointing. Overall, would not stay again.

Very nice hotel in a good area of Sedona . Mattress was too soft for us. Breakfast was okay . Overall complaint we have is unsanitary health conditions at the hotel. The breakfast had all breads/bagels in bags for all guests to retrieve on their own so EVERYONE had their hands in the bags. This would be sited by the department of health and safety in Pennsylvania where I live. Also the workout fitness room had no towels or spray to wipe down the equipment before and after use.

I booked this hotel for a friend and me, during her visit to Phoenix. We drove up for a days hiking then stayed Friday night. We had a lovely soak in the huge hot (hot) tub, then the best sleep in the very large room. We didn’t need all the amenities in the room, but such an added value for anyone who does. Very quiet hotel, so we woke up refreshed and enjoyed one of the best complimentary breakfasts we’d ever had in a hotel. After breakfast we left our car charging in the free Tesla charging station, and went for another hike around Bell Rock before returning back to the hotel to retrieve the car for our drive back to Phoenix. It was a wonderful short stay.

Rooms were s bit on the smaller side, and the walls s bit thin. We could hear the guests next door. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, which was surprising considering that this is a Marriott property. The ac unit in the room was really loud and kept my husband awake.

At checkin, desk manager was pretty huffy when he realized we had not booked directly with Marriott. Got a crappy room, end of hall, parking lot view. Very different that the website! My Gold status didn’t matter at all. Room was spartan, at best. Good news- Breakfast was more than adequate, Connie was fabulous as kitchen manager and also gave us a coupe of Great Hikes not in the guidebook. Thank you!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this property. PROS:
* The staff was attentive and friendly
* The hotel is nicely appointed
* The bed was very comfy
* Having a full kitchen is a big plus
* The location is good if you're driving because it's not right in the busiest part of town, but not a far drive away
CONS:
* The continental breakfast was disappointing. The waffles were frozen waffles that were not even hot!
* The staff did not make sure there was hot coffee at the coffee station
* The large dispensers with lemon or lime flavored water at the welcome station were empty most of the time.
* You better check your bill to make sure you are not charged for parking when it's supposed to be free with the Travelzoo voucher.
* Room cleaning service is not available unless you stay 2 full days, not nights.

Although free parking was included with the Travelzoo voucher, I was charged and had to checkout at the front desk to get my bill corrected.

Very spacious and quiet room. Appreciate the Village of Oak Creek location away from the busy streets of Sedona. Hiking trails nearby. Breakfast was terrific. Don’t expect a view from your room of the Red Rock mountains-only disappointment.

The hotel has a lot to offer especially at its price point. Good location accessible to meet beautiful places to hike and mountain bike. Nice amenities including a pool and outdoor area to barbecue near the pool including a fire pit.
