Asheville has flooded many must-visit and best-of lists in the past few years and has been recognized as one of the 15 Best Beer Cities Around the World by CNN and one of the South's Best Food Cities by Southern Living. This stylish hotel is in the heart of it all. The Kimpton Hotel Arras is just a short walk from the restaurants, galleries, breweries and live music venues that put Asheville on the map.

Rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows, local artwork, complimentary Wi-Fi and even a yoga mat. Guests can join nightly tours of the local art on display throughout the hotel or head to the fitness center, featuring Peloton bikes.

For a Mediterranean-inspired meal, head to the on-site restaurant, Bargello, for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner. District 42 serves up hand-crafted cocktails and shareable plates, as well as morning coffee and a casual lunch. For more options, you won't have to look far. There are many restaurants a short walk from the hotel, including Cúrate, Rhubarb and White Duck Taco Shop.

For those looking to explore outside of downtown, the popular River Arts District and the expansive Biltmore Estate are less than a 10-minute drive. Chimney Rock State Park (as well as many other hiking trails) are approximately a 30-minute drive.

The staff, hotel and location were all wonderful! Our room was clean and the staff was polite and always willing to help in any way. I would return here on my next visit to Asheville.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel that is located in a great Asheville location. Good restaurants, shops, and activities with-in easy walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.

The loading/unloading valet area needs a drive-through shelter or a wider overhang to keep clothing and luggage dry during a rainstorm. The narrow overhang currently in use is not adequate and is not guttered on the front edge. Therefore, the overhang collects rain into larger drops that drip on the luggage handler as they step out to the car.

Although it clearly says that this is a dog friendly hotel, I had no idea there would be so many dogs! I've been bitten by a dog and don't like them around me, so I was very uncomfortable waiting for elevators and during the lobby happy hour. This would be the only reason, why I won't stay again. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Very nice gym, excellent location but so windy! Would liked to have coffee makers in the room, but it was easy enough to get it in the lobby. Valet parking very expensive. Overall, pleasant stay except for all the dogs!

Wonderful experience with plenty of details that make for a delightful stay. Particularly the beautiful design in an historic Asheville building in the heart of downtown.

Never did figure out the thermostat...maybe posting a little info sign is a good idea. (yes, i could have asked for a 'lesson') LOVE the elevator plan for Covid....and beyond! Nice to know that no need to share elevator with others! Efficient and effective Thanks!

Very nice hotel. Wonderful staff. The hotel decor used lots of local artists. Hotel is walking does it too many places in Asheville. The rate was very reasonable. We will go back. It is also very dog-friendly.

The hotel is beautifully furnished with sophisticated mountain touches, and the location is perfect for seeing Asheville. But the best thing about the Kimpton is the staff. From check-in to check-out they were all warm and friendly, and made my dog and me feel welcome. I had a wonderful visit and will definitely stay at the Kimpton again!

Excellent accommodation in the heart of the city. Perfect base for exploring all that Asheville has to offer. Exceedingly dog friendly. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

This hotel has an ideal location on Pack square in the center of Asheville. Our room was on the 6th floor, and it was fun to look down on the activities. There is an Urban Walking tour which we took that starts nearby. Also the Asheville Arts Museum and many restaurants are within a couple of blocks. If you love to abandon your car and just explore a city, this is ideal. Two small negatives: no coffee maker in the room, though there is a free coffee bar in the main lobby. (We like to have a wakeup cup before we dress for the day.) And the bathroom needs towel racks.

The restaurant in this hotel is excellent. We ate dinner there twice--once a pasta, and once trout. The service was attentive and efficient. There is a beautiful outside patio with glass fire tubes where you can eat as you overlook the square.
