When I asked the server about a dish and possibly making a change, he was open to it and before I new it the chef came to my table and discussed it further. He not only made a change, but offered a sample of what I wanted changed. It was actually great and I ordered it the next evening.

Booked on travelocity. Upon check in, room was upgraded from no view to beach view at the same price. Room was large for 4, smelled really nice and clean. Wish the spa was open late, we arrived between 6and 7pm, so we weren’t able to avail our $50 spa credit per person. The restaurant -Datillo was great- Jeffrey was very nice to us. We had the Triani dish which according to Jeffrey was only on the menu for 3days. It was delicious and should be kept on the menu forever. Had the cod as well, and another pasta dish which was freshly made and cooked. The calamari was also good especially the breading, but it was 25% calamari and 75% hot peppers, wish it was vice versa. We saw the awesome room view in the morning. We wanted to have breakfast at the restaurant but there was a thanksgiving set up going on, so we were advised by the front desk to go to the cafe for Starbucks coffee. The hotel also honored our $50 breakfast credit at the coffee shop. Not to mention the valet for drop off and pickup service was awesome and free! Everyone at the hotel was helpful I wish I remember all their names. Everybody at the hotel the time we were there should get a raise for an excellent service!;) Overall was a great experience. Will definitely come back every time guests come over to visit us.

We were VERY Surprised at the room’s television, it was a 2010/2014 vintage and a small screen. In today’s world, a standard size screen is 65 inches at minimum. We were told it was the “old” plasma model. It took about 1 minute to change one channel to another. We informed the manager who explained that they are aware that the system was not current and that management is considering replacing with new larger high definition televisions. We were disappointed and displeased.
Their billing method was of a deep concern. They charged my credit card the full amount of the stay when we arrived and an additional daily charges each day that they expect us to incur. Though in the end , the accurate amount was changed and unnecessary charges reversed 48 hours after we left. Highly unusual. The standard is run the credit card and settle at the end of the stay. We were VERY displeased and uncomfortable with that method of charging.
In spite of the aforementioned, we enjoyed the stay and would consider returning if the matters discussed are addressed.

Beautiful location on the water and because I booked a waterfront room, that was nice. But hotel and room very dated. I had breakfast at the hotel because of the voucher and it was lovely and delicious.

I had the worst spa experience of my life. The massage therapist, though nice, did not know how to give a massage, let alone a deep tissue. Also, the "spa" itself is not relaxing. Pool and sauna on different floors and you need to leave the spa and walk through the hotel to access.

My cousin and I had a girls trip for our birthdays. This place was perfect! The staff could not have been more accommodating, it was as if they anticipated our requests and were on it immediately. The resort was rather quiet mid-week but business groups were holding meetings. The friendliness and attentiveness of staff were abundant. In late March it was too early for regular landscaping to be in bloom or leafed out, but you could tell it would be magnificent. The bar and restaurant had appealing menus and food had beautiful presentation. The hot tub was a great way to end the day after a walk on the beach.

1) To the cook who made the most outstanding omelette with perfectly sautéed mushrooms and crisp bacon- take a bow!
2) To the grounds crew for the meticulous property, expert pruning and pansies planted everywhere-
take a bow!
Some of the furnishings and peeling paint make it less than pristine but overwhelmingly it is a great experience and value.

It was a foggy/cloudy March day, so the views were subdued. The beach was tiny, and not much to do around the vicinity. The "shops" were not really what we were looking for. The bed was very comfy. The library building was quiet, which was nice. The fireplace, view of the ocean from the large windows in the dining room, and grandness of the main building was what we hoped from this historic hotel. We didn't use the pool, spa, or fitness amenities, but would have if we had stayed more than one night. The breakfast was outstanding!

The breakfast was wonderful, and the bartender was very friendly at the bistro. He made sure we were able to watch our favorite March madness games and checked in often to make sure we were getting what we needed.
