The adaptation of Ferenc Molnár’s 1909 play follows Liliom, a charismatic but self-destructive carnival barker in a dreamlike amusement park during the Great Depression. The classical- and jazz-influenced score brings the restless energy of the Depression era to life, courtesy of Academy Award-winning composer Michel Legrand.
