San Francisco Entertainment
Some of the most iconic, postcard-worthy spots in San Francisco are some of the top entertainment destinations, like the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf and jingling cable cars. Yet the entertainment options here really reflect the diversity of the city, from intimate concert venues to Giants Stadium.
Many touring Broadway shows make their way west, and many visitors try to stop by SFJAZZ Center as well as the San Francisco Opera for a cultured night out. Another popular entertainment trend is trying a tasting room from a local brewer or a wine maker in nearby Wine Country.
There is always something new to explore, from restaurants (try the local seafood – Dungeness crab and cioppino are favorites) to museum exhibits to stage productions to eclectic neighborhoods -- some of our favorites include Hayes Valley, North Beach, Haight-Ashbury, the Mission (don’t miss the murals) and the Castro.
