Seattle & Tacoma Attractions
With an iconic skyline that boasts both the Space Needle tower and Mount Rainier, Seattle is a city that has become the perfect blend between culture and nature. Situated on Puget Sound, the Emerald City is home to tens of thousands of acres of parks. With a rich musical history, Seattle was the birthplace of grunge music (also known as the Seattle sound) in the mid-1980s, thanks to bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Seattle is also home to the very first Starbucks coffee shop, which opened in 1971. Tourists can still pop in and visit store number one, of which there are more than 20,000 worldwide. If that’s not your thing, check out Pike Place Market, Seattle’s original farmers market and home to the famous fish throwing shop owners.
