It typically takes many flights or spending a ton on Southwest Airlines' credit card to get a coveted Companion Pass. But the airline is making it easy to bring a travel buddy on your next trip in 2027. This limited-time promotion lets a companion book a ticket and pay just the taxes and fees when flying with you. You'll have to act fast though; this promotion ends on Aug. 6.
Here's how it works:
- You must be a registered Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards member as you'll need your account number to register for this promotion.
- By Aug. 6, book a qualifying roundtrip or two qualifying one-way flights for travel by Nov. 18.
- Once you complete your travel, you will receive an email with information on next steps and how to designate and utilize the promotional Companion Pass.
- The companion can fly with you Jan. 5–March 3.
