With awards ranging from Condé Nast Traveler magazine to National Geographic magazine, you shouldn't need much persuading to book this discounted all-inclusive stay at the Lapa Rios Ecolodge & Wildlife Reserve in Costa Rica. For £461 per person, you get four nights for the price of three in a luxury bungalow with views of the Pacific Ocean.

Valid for stays in a Double Bungalow until 31 October, the offer includes three meals a day, non-alcoholic drinks, return transfers to Puerto Jimenez and a selection of guided tours in the surrounding rainforest.

Recognised by Forbes as the world's first luxury ecolodge and also included in its list of the World's Most Responsible Hotels in 2008, the Lapa Rios Ecolodge & Wildlife Reserve takes pride in being a sustainable travel experience. The lodge has also been included on the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Gold List for the last two years. The reserve is in the Osa Peninsula. All the guided tours from the lodge help support the maintenance and preservation of the local area. Click here for more details.

Accommodation is made up of 16 bungalows with bamboo beds and furnishings, as well as your own private deck. There is also a secluded garden shower (along with a regular modern bathroom) to complete the rainforest experience.

It's £726 per person for the same deal from 1 November to 14 December.

International flights are not included but we found return flights to San Jose for £599 in October. From there it is a short domestic flight to Puerto Jimenez, which Lapa Rios can arrange. Search for international flights using Fly.com.
