To reach Orchid Bay Resort, travelers will fly into Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City; from there, it’s approximately a 2-hour drive to the resort. Airport transfers can be arranged through the hotel. This costs US$175 plus tax per group, up to 4 people.

The staff is amazing. This was our 2nd time to stay & we were remembered & greeted fondly. This resort is the perfect place to “unplug” & enjoy a beautiful setting. There are many fun excursions to explore, if action is what you want. The resort is small, with ~22 (1 br, bath & full kitchen) casitas & 6-8 2-br condos. 1 restaurant/bar, which serves the most diverse and excellently prepared food. If you want an action packed vacation with 100’s of your “best friends”, this isn’t the place. We will be back again - of that I am sure.

very nice place with lovely accommodations, friendly helpful staff and excellent food. It is a bit difficult to access and requires a $200 shuttle from the airport to get there. Snorkeling was mediocre even though we paid for a daylong snorkeling trip. All in all we had a great time at the resort.

The casita we stayed in only had a double bed. My bed at home is a king size and my wife and I felt cramped in the double. Other than the bed it was a beautiful place and well furnished.

Staff, including maintained and landscaping was amazing. Each day, coming and going from our casita was walking through a garden. Not your normal resort. Very out of the way, very quiet and relaxing and not a lot of people.

Lovely place, amazing personalized hospitality and customer service. I was surprised at the restaurant just using plastic tables and chairs when the other facilities are all high end decor and well made. But it made sense when they explained it was first a retirement community that later added the restaurant/bar/office/gift shop that are all the same building. The food was very very good and the menu plenty diverse. The staff were always wonderful and the other guests and residents were always friendly.

This is a nice relaxing spot to get away. The casita (your own spacious little house) has everything you need. The resort is small compared to other all inclusive resorts, but this is why it feels much more personalized. For instance, with any excursion you want to take advantage of, they will take care of everything - driving you there, arranging for a private guide, etc. They're not just scheduling the excursion. For this reason, the groups are relatively small (4-8) & it's more like a personal excursion. The guides go out of their way to make sure you get the most out of the experience. What this place isn't, it's not a party/night time spot. The casitas are actually someone's home so it's not the "glittery" 5 star luxury resort (no luxury linens, deorations) BUT they deliver on what counts - really good, fresh food & good staff that deliver the best service possible.
