Traditional Afternoon Tea is valid Monday–Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Scottish High Tea is valid Friday–Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Hours are subject to change without notice; please call merchant to confirm. My friend and I had a very lovely afternoon at Pendray Tea House. We enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were very gracious and helpful.

Yuri was our waiter - he was very knowledgeable and attentive. His descriptions were appreciated by everyone. Food and tea was good.
There was no problem making a reservation.
Atmosphere could have been better if there was no ferry construction across the street. Very noisy.

Our second visit for a special occasion. We love the atmosphere and the food. The staff seemed very confused by the voucher and asked us three different times if we had vouchers, then initially did our bill without the vouchers! They were friendly but the confusion was a little annoying.

This is the second time I’ve had high tea at the Pendray Inn using a Travelzoo voucher. Using the voucher is extremely easy and it is excellent value for money.

This was the 4th time I have been to the high tea at the Pendray and the first time there was anything that I was disappointed by. It was only a small incident, but it sort of just stuck in my "craw" so to speak. When we first walked in, there were two servers at the desk and I handed them my vouchers. One of them mentioned that they needed to make sure it was not a "black out date", and would not take my word for it that it was not. She tried to explain that they would honour the voucher, but that as it was family day, it should be a black out date. Then when it was confirmed that it was not she clasped her hands and said something like, well it's your lucky day. I felt like I was a second class citizen because I came there with a voucher for this deal. Like we were lucky to be let in with the deal, when I had simply taken advantage of a deal that they were clearly offering. All the other times that we were there, we were shown the utmost friendliness and respect, and our server of the day, was also very respectful and friendly. I just feel that Travelzoo customers should not be treated like they are less than other customers. Thanks for the opportunity to get it off my chest! Lol.

Nice atmosphere. The tea wasn't hot enough and didn't really stay warm enough throughout my tea time. The lavender macaron was really strong and I will ask not to include that flavour next time. The rest was tasty.

Pendray tea house has become a go to place for anniversaries and just-because. Their finger sandwiches and desserts are out of this world - so yummy! They have beautiful Victorian China for the tea service, and the ambiance is awesome especially the tables that look out over the water. If you’re looking for a unique experience with that special someone, this would be the one lace to go!

Afternoon Tea was not special. Bread was dry for the sandwiches. Not much of a selection for the savoury selection at all. Scones were nice but mean on the cream and jam for two people and 4 scones, there was enough for one person. Cakes small and nondescript. Not very tasty. I've definitely had better Afternoon Teas elsewhere. I would not recommend to friends or family.

Size of table was too small and not all dishes could fit properly. Music was too old fashioned and was on repeat, heard the same selections many times. The food selections were odd and staff did not check on tea refills- we had to flag them down.

It was a lovely thing to do to visit with my friend who had never done this before. I do now find that I’m not so interested in eating that much white flour and sugar so I probably won’t do it again. I may return for scones though! They’re really good there. One note is that there is quite a bit of construction noise that will go on for another year or two across the street, so it made conversation a little harder on the porch. However, it was excellent that we had that choice because I am still preferring not to go inside unmasked. That makes enjoying tea difficult indoors! The staff were quite lovely and helpful to us.
