We like to walk the property as it’s beautiful. Restaurant prices for dinner have escalated to ridiculously high prices compared to last year when they were high enough. Most entrees in the $50 range… too high. We are in Wallace at Wiley’s by the Wharf which was more reasonable. Excellent breakfast at resort and it was included… shoukd not have separate menu for those with the plan that includes breakfast. Lovely waitresses.

We were there for a yoga retreat. The rooms were lovely. The spa amenities were great (pool, hot tub, saunas, salt room). We so appreciated that staff invited us to use the amenities both before and after check in/out. We got there early Friday because of weather concerns and they were very welcoming.

The only disappointing, and surprising, thing was the quality of the food. It was so bad we drove into Pugwash the next day to get something for dinner which we ate in our room. It might be because they were a few weeks from closing but regardless it was bad. When we mentioned it at checkout they were very apologetic and returned the cost of our dinner.

The property is beautiful, I am very happy they except dogs as we took our 9 week old puppy, there was a welcome gift for her, that was lovely.

The dining experience at the Willard was not great, very uncomfortable chairs, lounge chairs to sit and eat in were terrible and the table was the height of a coffee table, tables were close to others, very uncomfortable atmosphere. The waitress handed our bill and stood beside the table and waited for us to get our money out, that was rude and awkward on her behalf. She gave hand signals/thumbs up to another staff member who had another couple come in wanting a table, referencing that our table was coming available as we did not get dessert. We felt rushed to say the least. Breakfast the next morning was great, Ericka was our waitress, she was lovely. The next day I look at my credit card and there was a charge I did not recognize, I texted them to ask...they charged my for 2 beverages from the minibar...we did not take anything from the mini bar, we brought our own drinks and snacks. They did text back and say the charge would be reversed.
