A lovely 3 day staycation getaway that was booked because of the Travelzoo promotion. We canoed, biked and walked the 3 hour circle tour around the lake. Because there are not electronics (no wifi or TV), it was an opportunity to reset and enjoy time without too many intrusions. The restaurant was very good, an attentive chef who interacted with the guests. Also a break from the heat as the location is on the high plateau.

Information was inconsistencies on whether non-motorized watercraft was included in resort fees (they were). Lovely that breakfast was included - the food was very good. We left gratuities on the table in cash; but noted that a 15% gratuity was added too the bill at check out. We did not see the bill until we opened our email. This would have been helpful to know ahead of time. There was little information about the local area (map of walking trails, etc). We did find them on our own; but there was lovely biking and hiking trails that the lodge could have provided info on.

Setting and views were beautiful, food was excellent, linens and beds top notch and staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Only suggestions are to improve the hotel itself as carpets and decor all very tired looking.

It was amazing!! All the staff are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food in the restaurant is so good, they have vegan options which is a huge bonus!! The resort is extremely dog friendly, which is so nice for all the dig parents. For the active people, they are a tonne of hiking, biking, and walking trails to explore. Another bonus is that it is close to Kamloops, which has great shopping and other amenities.

The new owners are doing a great job getting this resort 'back from the dead' as it was shuttered for 3 years. We loved the great food in the restaurant for only breakfast and dinner with a happy hour from 3 to 5 pm , comfortable deluxe queen room, and loved the ability to have an outdoor fire in the wonderful fire pit. the staff were very knowledgably and super helpful and attentive.

The fishing in the little lake was super with large fish including a 6 lb and all released to live again. Nice long and easy hike along the roadway and then through the meadow around the end of the little lake. also a nice lake to kayak which we did also. A great outdoor and peaceful and quiet experience. Loved there was no technology available but there was cell service. A great way to unwind and totally relax while listening to the birds and watching fish jumping.
