Fabulous! Beautiful resort with incredible amount of activities available. Gorgeous setting on the river. Front desk staff, housekeeping all so friendly and helpful! Delicious coffee in the rooms, along with a wonderful buffet breakfast. Absolute only negative experience was one night’s dinner in the restaurant where breakfast is served. Think the waiter was not a usual employee and gave horrible service with dinner finally coming after we’d been there 1 1/2 hours. ( others near us had the same experience). Even with that, the food was delicious and the maitre’d comped our wine as a courtesy. All in all, such a wonderful resort to stay at!

Love the hotel and the location. The only downside to staying there was the smoke from the (very popular) bonfire behind the hotel. We had to change rooms after the first night because the smoke in our room was overwhelming.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful despite our broken French.

Upscale property with excellent service. Rooms could use some updating, but they are still lovely, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet with sensational, with excellent choices (best croissant ever). Even the premade scrambled eggs were good. (not soggy). There are several trails on the hotel grounds so you don’t have to go far if you want to do some mile to moderate hiking. Lots to see within an hour drive like whale watching cruises, scenic lookouts and hiking trails. Highly recommend for a 3-5-day nature getaway

I never received the room upgrade that was part of the deal. On Monday, the hotel wasn't busy at all, but the reception staff refused to upgrade me without even checking anything.
Everything else was great.

We loves the location and for most part we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Upon checking in, the receptionist didn’t know about our reservation additions so we felt underwhelmed with her lack of care or knowledge.

The most beautiful hotel. A most beautiful location although a bit of a challenge to get to and leave from. The hotel was extremely well kept and all of the activities were in working order. The food was excellent. Everyone had a good time. I was relaxed after being in such a wonderful place.

I will need to write to the hotel as my child got hurt doing one of the activities and I think the hotel should reconsider how they offer that activity.

I actually thought I booked this for the Frontenac and Quebec city and realize the day before. It was two hours away. We decided to let fate be the judge and we went to this area. The absolute best holiday mistake I’ve ever made. This area is incredibly beautiful. Incredibly.

Our only complaint is that the Hotel really didn’t let us know all the things that were happening. I have no idea why. So make sure on your first day to go to the Concierge, ask the front desk, I’m sure the TV has information. They had zip lines. We didn’t know about, mini golf, bikes, entertainment and more. That’s the only downfall.

They added resort fees and the cost of breakfast to my room and didn't offer me the inclusions with my booking (credit, valet parking, room upgrade even though it's the slow season). It's not entirely their fault if they weren't aware of my Travelzoo booking, I ended up getting to remove the changes but it made for an awkward experience.
The room was mostly fine. I would appreciate blackout curtains and blinds. The showerhead in the bathroom could use a little TLC.
It wasn't my worst experience in a hotel, but give the cost and the name, I expected better.

we had a great time at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. The property is beautiful and historic, offers great views and activities. The rooms are comfy. The parking is a bit tricky, far away from rooms. Guests can get help though - just ask at reception. The staff is exceptional on all levels. Amal at reception and her colleagues in all areas are offering outstanding hospitality and customer service.

This hotel is luxury. The premises are wonderful overlooking the St Lawrence with walking trails and places to sit and relax. The pool area has choices of a sauna, cold pool and warm whirlpool as well as an outdoor pool and not whirlpool which was ideal for an Autumn getaway. We chose to pay extra for an upgrade to a room overlooking the river with a Jacuzzi which we enjoyed. Watching the sun rise over the St Lawrence was magical. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We spent three nights which was enough to relax and really enjoy the facilities.

The staff, service and grounds were excellent. The bathroom was clean and modern. The bed and linens were also excellent. However, the room itself was tired looking -- dull decor, worn furniture, almost no pictures, and poor lighting. The first impression upon getting off the elevator and entering our room was that of a Best Western Hotel....so I while I would recommend the hotel to friends, etc. I would let them know not to expect a 'wow' experience with the room itself.

The photos on the website show modern rooms -- and that is what I was expecting, hence the initial disappointment with the room we had. We discovered later that the rooms shown on the website are in the new addition which does not have river views. There should be greater clarification with photos.
