Upon check-in we were advised that the elevator was out of service in the wing we were booked into. Therefore we were placed in a room one floor below the lobby. Turns out we were on the floor where housekeeping is located. Essentially, we were in the basement. I was not impressed.

The hotel rooms are tired. The beds were very comfortable. Self-serve parking across the street was easy. The day after we checked out I realized I left my yoga jacket hanging in the back of the bathroom door. We went back 30 hours after checking out and asked at the front desk if it had been turned in - and yes, they had it in a bag, tagged with our room number. I was very impressed with the honesty of the staff in this incidence. Top marks!

Loved our one bedroom suite. It must have been recently updated as the decor was fresh and clean. The suite, especially the washroom, was very spacious. The front desk staff was so accommodating, we walked down the street to surprise them with some Craig cookies.

The harbour activity quieted down during sleep time hours. Fun to watch the activity.

We had to be placed in another hotel for the first night but the staff were really great in handling this situation and ended up comping our night and parking at the other hotel. Thanks Teri!!

Our room with the king size bed and harbour view was great!
Bed was very comfortable. The staff was welcoming, kind and friendly. Though we didn't have time for breakfast that day, it's good to know that they have a proper dining area and provide breakfast.
I think it is essential that hotels have a restaurant in its premises. Free parking is also great to have.
Lots of reasons to come back!!

Parking was convenient. Location is great - easy walk to everything.
Other Comments
We were checked-in to a CITY view King room (that was noisy) instead of the guaranteed HARBOUR view King room. We were eventually switched after two nights after we requested a change and showed that it was supposed to be GUARANTEED. The harbour view room was much quieter.

An absolutely fantastic experience. The hotel location is perfect - close to everything and an amazing view of the narrows. The room was modern and clean and had all we needed for our vacation. Best of all were the staff - everyone of them helpful, friendly and professional.
Other Comments
We had a trip of a lifetime and truly felt like we were home in St John’s, courtesy of the staff at the hotel. Will certainly be back.
