Set on a private peninsula of Nova Scotia's north shore, this 4-star oceanside resort offers luxe stays paired with East Coast hospitality. Travelzoo members love the spa amenities, championship golf course and myriad activities—they return again and again, saying "it was our fourth visit and not the last!"
This fall, Travelzoo members take a midweek getaway for $224 a night, including breakfast and the $25 resort fee. Everyone else will pay $361 for the same stay. Weekends are available for $325 (usually $411).

Construction at the resort made for some minor inconveniences. Some issues with incorrect billing which was correct by staff. Minor irritations.

We like to walk the property as it’s beautiful. Restaurant prices for dinner have escalated to ridiculously high prices compared to last year when they were high enough. Most entrees in the $50 range… too high. We are in Wallace at Wiley’s by the Wharf which was more reasonable. Excellent breakfast at resort and it was included… shoukd not have separate menu for those with the plan that includes breakfast. Lovely waitresses.

We were there for a yoga retreat. The rooms were lovely. The spa amenities were great (pool, hot tub, saunas, salt room). We so appreciated that staff invited us to use the amenities both before and after check in/out. We got there early Friday because of weather concerns and they were very welcoming.

The only disappointing, and surprising, thing was the quality of the food. It was so bad we drove into Pugwash the next day to get something for dinner which we ate in our room. It might be because they were a few weeks from closing but regardless it was bad. When we mentioned it at checkout they were very apologetic and returned the cost of our dinner.
