Sun Peaks Grand Hotel offers a full roster of amenities and nearby activities: a heated outdoor pool, slopeside hot tubs, European-style village, alpine treks, bike trails and local golf courses. One Travelzoo member called it the "perfect location" for a "lovely stay."

Public rates run from $189–$199 midweek, but we pay $139, saving 26%–30%. On select weekends, our price is $159 (usually $199–$259).

Why We Love This Hotel

  • The resort is a four-hour drive from Vancouver and 45 minutes from Kamloops

We chose the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel for a 2-night getaway, and it was a good decision. The hotel is nicely situated in the village, close to all shops and restaurants. The room was lovely - large and clean, with lots of storage space and a spacious modern bathroom. We were on the 4th floor overlooking the village - we had a balcony - and we found it to be quiet, with the exception of early one morning when there were a lot of tour buses leaving the hotel (travellers who were diverted from their train trip due to wildfires), so that was understandable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel!

We booked this hotel because they had a pool and because of the deal that was available. The pool was small and not very deep (max. 4.5 ft) and not enough lounge chairs. Other than that it was fine.

Overall good experience. The hotel has some really nice parts, but some could definitely use some attention like the pool area (very uninspiring, lacking in decor, plants, lights, etc. The room was really nice, but the bed and pillows were just ok. Having a bath tub is always nice, even though this tub was so shallow I could just about get your legs wet.

Stayed 2 nights. Great in the summer if you like hiking or mountain biking. Wild flowers are in full bloom this time of year but remember to take bug spray! Staff was very nice. Customer service is important to them.
