Well located for dropping students at residence at Dal. We had great views over the park. Easy to walk to restaurants and sights of Halifax.

Honestly, I was surprised this was a Travelzoo selection. In my experience, your selections are better than this. The room itself was adequate and there were some (not all but some) nice and friendly staff

The cleanliness of the rooms and the dining! The breakfast that was included was extremely disappointing! They have a breakfast menu but you couldn't select from that menu - the only thing that was actually included was a very, very low quality breakfast buffet. We were traveling with kids and they ordered pancakes from the menu while we got pancakes from the buffet - both were not great but the buffet ones were not even edible! Finally, the parking situation was difficult - the parking lot is not big enough to accommodate everyone!

Location is not bad, near the park, about 15-20 min walk from the waterfront.

Service: they don't clean rooms or change towels unless you tell them 24 hours in advance! They did not mention this during the check in - we found out after returning to our room after a long day.
Breakfast: included in the package is worse than what you get in Holiday Inn. On our second morning we ordered from the menu. They were good enough to honor the cost of buffet, so we paid up the difference only.
Rooms: walls are so thin, you can hear almost everything from adjacent rooms.

We not one to complain but as a travel zoo member we thought its something that deserved your attention.
Other Comments
We didn't get the welcome gift and on check in they put us in a lower class gold room with a couch, they moved us to a room with a couch once we asked about it. The hotel was fine but we just expect what we were offered.

Pool area needs to be monitored.. kids were cannonball ing and running. Towels were not provided.

They have permanent residents in Hotel. Garbage in hallways and loud. A bit of a walk from main Halifax boardwalk.

The location of the hotel is near the harbour and lots of attractions so we were able to walk everywhere we were going. The hotel room was spacious and clean. We ate the breakfast both mornings we were there and the food was excellent, service was great. My children used the pool and enjoyed it. Have already recommended to friends coming to Halifax next month.
