Wonderful hospitality, amazing ambience, great room but no working spa…..

I chose the Limehouse Library Hotel partly because the hotel looked so interesting and also because I wanted a spa treatment prior to a big event. Unfortunately despite trying to book the spa in advance of our stay and also enquiring on arrival I was unsuccessful in booking a treatment. It seemed the spa was just not available.

This is a fabulous place to stay. The Edwardian library has been completely and tastefully refurbished Full of interesting kitsch memorabilia, it is five star quality. Excellent breakfast- wide range of fresh and delicious fruits, cheeses, nuts as well as traditional English. book as a guest as get £5 reduction. Well stocked bar and restaurant food very good. Cooked to order. Good portions.

You can park nearby using the just park app. Bus stops outside and DLR from Limehouse 8 minutes walk away. Canary Wharf pier accessible through the park. 15 minutes walk away uber Thames clipper takes you to Battersea and west or east to Greenwich. Near to the Limehouse basin and famous Grapes pub and narrow street, st Anne’s Hawkesmoor church next door. The DLR runs close to the back of the building so go for a room at the front if the noise bothers you. Loads of interesting place to work or sit. A roof garden, ballroom and meeting rooms. Would be great for a family gathering , anniversary or birthday event.

Interesting hotel! Pleasant, helpful staff. Good food - dinner. Please stress to members that ID required - on the e mail but missed, managed to overcome a potentially embarrassing situation. Despite good rail links into town, location means we will be unlikely to return - prefer somewhere more central.
