Nestled in the Tofino rainforest, this hotel is steps from Chesterman Beach—perfect for storm-watching and surfing (some of the best swells occur during the winter months). The hotel's colourful decor is a stylish nod to the 70s with a mini disco and a light-up dance floor.

Why We Love This Hotel
- The hotel has a fully interactive replica of a vintage VW made entirely out of driftwood; they have exclusive access to the Inlet and bird sanctuary; there's an onsite playground with a marine theme, a rainforest hot tub and barrel sauna; outdoor showers made of surfboards—the list goes on

Easy check in, beautiful and comfortable rooms, exceptionally clean. Hotel Zed provides a unique experience with several lounge areas open to guests including a sunken living room lounge, vintage arcade, and disco room. The sauna and hot tub in the forest are super special, as is the estuary. Well-located near the town of Tofino, walkable to Chesterman Beach and Tacofino.

Way too many kids, running parent less through the downstairs. Owners big party was on Saturday so roar was booked out made pretty busy to try and get food or drinks.

Would appreciate robes since you have to travel outside to get to the hot tub and sauna.

As advertised Hotel Zed is colorful, quirky, and fun. There are paths through the grounds with secluded seating areas here and there. The inlet is beautiful at high and low tides. The room was quiet which is always appreciated. The "kitchen " area in the room is practically nonexistent, minimal space for making coffee or tea. There is a small refrigerator, no freezer compartment, and no dishes or utensils. The one coffee spoon provided got shared a lot. The bathroom and kitchen sink are one and the same. Good atmosphere,, overall an enjoyable stay.

Miles and Amanda at check-in were amazing and all of the staff members made our vacation memorable. We loved the hotel and all its theme and I even brought the yo-yo back home and my kids cannot get enough of it. Looking forward to going back to Hotel Zed again soon.
