Why We Love This Hotel

  • The rooftop showcases views of Charlottetown Harbour
  • The Confederation Centre of the Arts is half a block away from the hotel
  • Kids ages 10 and under eat free from May-October
  • Parking and Wi-Fi are complimentary (limited parking during summer months)

Built in 1931, Rodd Charlottetown combines old-world charm with modern convenience. The interior conveys an attention to historic details, like the marble floors and vaulted ceiling in the lobby. Park your car for free in the lot then head to the roof, where views of Charlottetown Harbour are unparalleled. Pause here before heading to Chamber’s Restaurant for a meal, where kids ages 10 and under eat for free from May to October. Start the day with French toast and end with entrees like New York striploin and blackened Atlantic salmon.

Meet in the lounge for a drink before heading out to explore the charm of Prince Edward Island's historic capital.

During warmer months, attend a crab bake or spend time at the beach. From late June through August, the hotel is home to Feast Dinner Theatre, touted by Fodor's for producing “fun, fluffy musicals.” The indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna are an inviting escape year-round.

As night approaches, relax in a guest room, where a minifridge allows you to keep snacks and drinks on hand, while complimentary Wi-Fi access is ideal for staying in touch with friends and family.

If I had known how great this place was, I would have booked more than one night. The rooms were super clean, quiet and comfy. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good. Great staff, wonderful location.

This hotel is just a few minutes from the Confederation Centre for the Arts and other other smaller theatres, great stores and interesting places to see.

Hotel was very nice and the staff was exceptional.

We thought that your staff was exceptional. In particular, the server at breakfast was very special. So sincere and friendly. Exceptional service at breakfast. Food was great and the coffee was great. I believe the server told me she was from Granada. Also had great service at the front desk. The gentlemen we dealt with was exceptional as well. Made us feel right at home. I didn’t get his name but he was of East Indian decent. You should be proud of such great staff with the ability to connect with strangers. Please pass on our comments to them

The location is as good as it gets on PEI.
Other Comments
I thought I had reserved a room for two nights. However, because your software resets the complete form, I ended up with a reservation for one night instead of two during peak season. After paying $121 Canadian for the first night, they charged me $259 for the second without advising me of the change. I talked them into charging $199 Canadian for the night. At that rate, the furnishings were tawdry and the service mediocre for PEI standards.
